I am a recent graduate from the Tom Rose School. If you are serious about wanting a career in dog training I can think of no better place to go than TRS. The program exceeded my expectations. Hayssam, the lead instructor, is an incredible teacher with an extensive body of knowledge and experience. He is devoted to his students and goes above and beyond to help you succeed throughout the program. Kirsten, the program manager is incredibly helpful and makes sure everything runs smoothly during your time there. The value you get far exceeds the price of admission. I would recommend this program to anyone who is serious about wanting to become a professional dog trainer. I can't speak highly enough about this program. Thank you Hayssam / Kirsten and the TRS staff for such a great experience. Cheers!

I recently graduated from The Tom Rose School for Dog Training and I am so grateful for the experience. Over the past 5 months, our instructors have been so supportive and patient with us. The skills and knowledge they imparted to me is invaluable. I’ve learnt so much over the course of this 5 months. Hayssam was there every step of the way, patiently guiding us. It was great to live and breathe dog training every single day, meeting and spending time with people who had the same interests and aspirations for dog training. I would choose The Tom Rose School for Dog Training again if I had a do-over. Thank you so much for everything Hayssam and Kirsten. Really appreciate making TRS a home away from home.

We have a Board and Train kennel business in a different state. We sent one of our experienced trainers to TRS. He came back a much more balanced trainer, using more motivational techniques when he returned. I actually flew out to graduation. During my visit I saw the students all using balanced techniques. My background is in the sport of Schutzhund, (IGP). I have known Tom for years. I have read some recent reviews actually wondering why Tom wasn’t teaching the class. He’s retired. I believe he is pushing late 70’s. I myself would greatly prefer to have a younger instructor who is able to actually physically show you how to handle a dog. Tom remains available for consultation. I seriously am confused about the comments of using unwarranted harsh corrections. If you are working a high drive dog in bitework training, then you better know how to correct firmly when needed!! Maybe that’s what offends some novices. The new owner is extremely passionate about dog training and teaching students how to communicate effectively with the dogs. He even brings in highly skilled competition trainer/handlers to provide different prospectives to the students. This is a great thing!! As a busine

I recently graduated from the Tom Rose School for Dog Trainers, and I can’t speak highly enough about my experience! From start to finish, the program was not only incredibly educational but also a lot of fun. The hands-on learning approach and the expert guidance of the instructors made every day engaging and informative. The curriculum covered a wide range of areas, including canine obedience, dog sports, personal protection dogs, service and therapy dogs, animal behavior and psychology, and business development. I was amazed at how comprehensive and thorough the training was. The skills and knowledge I gained have set me up for tremendous success in my career as a dog trainer. Beyond the exceptional training, the support I received from the administrative staff and cadre was outstanding. They went above and beyond to ensure that all my questions were answered, that I had everything I needed, and that I felt supported throughout my entire journey. Their dedication and enthusiasm significantly enhanced my learning experience and contributed greatly to my success. The practical experience and proficiency I developed in each of these areas have been invaluable. Whether it was wor

The Tom Rose School is an exceptional school for aspiring dog trainers. You have the ability to gain hands on experience with dogs as well as experience in client interaction. I graduated in 2020 and less than a year later was running a successful dog training business that has grown exponentially since. The programs offered give you a well rounded foundation that you can take in any direction. Could not recommend more!
