In Carmichael, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in California, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Sunflower Pet Salon at (916) 969-3981; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is facebook.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Carmichael is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Carmichael follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

loved it. I was weary because my dog is older and snaps when she's getting groomed but they assured me she'd be fine and she was! guess she wasn't as much of a brat as I thought. she looked beautiful. definitely going to be back

Miranda and Sophia are the sweetest and most kindest ladies to have work with your pet. She was so kind and did a home visit for my fragile 14 year old cat who has healthy conditions. She taught me how to properly bathe my cat since this was my old ladies FIRST bath ever! Because of Miranda being so loving, patient and kind, my old lady cat do just fine and didn't claw us to death which I was worried about it lol my old lady is finally clean & wander around the house amongst my baby. HIGHLY recommend 100 X over! So professional, kind, compassionate, hard working and most importantly loving to your pet. You know they are in safe, gentle and kind hands. Can't thank Miranda enough. :)

A few years back my parents couldn't find a groomer who would groom their large, aging Labradoodles. One dog had difficulty standing and other groomers refused to groom him. They brought him to Miranda when her salon was in a different area. My mom can't stop talking about how wonderful they were with him. I made an appointment and took my parents' 2 Boston Terriers to have their claws trimmed on 3/20/26. The procedure was quick and efficient. The dogs were treated very kindly and weren't nervous at all. It's clear that they love your pets here. I'll be going back in a few weeks for a full grooming. Note: This establishment is by appointment only.

Miranda is amazing! My dog, Bodhi, absolutely loves her and gets SO excited when he sees her and her pup. She does amazing work and I’m always happy with all of the love he gets. Miranda is SO sweet too…she always makes sure her pup is there so mine gets tons of play time. She’s the only groomer I’ve ever used and wouldn’t change a thing. We LOVE her! Would highly recommend! You will not be disappointed!
