About The Shaggy Shack

A locally-owned and operated dog grooming business that makes your pet's comfort, safety and style top priority!

The Shaggy Shack is a pet groomer in Columbus, Ohio. It is listed at 5466 N High St, Columbus, OH 43214, which places it among the local businesses of Columbus that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In Columbus, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Ohio, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–6 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Shaggy Shack at (614) 528-3376; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, theshaggyshack.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 5.0 out of 5 from 85 reviews, which is a strong result for a pet groomer in Columbus and suggests consistent service.

Small building off High St with big customer service. If you feel like when you call it goes to voicemail a lot, do not worry, it is because they are likely taking amazing care of your pups and are usually responsive within 24-48 hours (depending on when you call) and I believe they have a website for online booking now. They have always done an amazing job on our dog Otis and he left with a precious bow tie on his collar this past time, it was so cute! Love being able to help a local business with people you can tell genuinely care. Every time I come the other dogs look so relaxed and calm, which isn't always the case at other places. If you take your pup to The Shaggy Shack, you won't be disappointed.

Highly recommend! I was really starting to get nervous about how I would trim the nails of my giant dog who is very afraid of nail trims. But the groomers at Shaggy Shack handled him with no problem at all, they were professional, sensitive to his needs, quick and thorough. Relieved and grateful, and will be coming back for any future grooming needs!

We have taken our dog to Shaggy Shack twice now and it is such an easy, calm and great experience! The ability to schedule online makes getting an appointment so easy. The staff are very kind and our dog’s haircut looks better than any prior cuts shes had elsewhere. It’s clear they make notes in their system and are able to reference those notes at return visits which makes for a seamless experience. They also have cute bandannas to choose from which is always a fun addition! We highly recommend taking your pup to Shaggy Shack!

Rose is the best groomer in town! She puts your pup and you at ease! Our dogs all have different personalities, but she adjust to each one and makes them feel safe. We have a long haired chihuahua, when Rose cuts his hair he comes home looking SO CUTE! We love the team at Shaggy Shack! So happy to have such sweet and kind folks take care of our fur babies!
