About The Shaggy Dog
Welcome to The Shaggy Dog, a full service dog salon.
The Shaggy Dog is one of the pet groomers listed in Channahon, Illinois. The business is registered at 25220 W Reed St Unit C, Channahon, IL 60410; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.
Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 8:30 am–3 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. Ok so in full disclosure I don’t normally take the dogs to any appointments, but my wife was busy, and it was my turn to help out. The Shaggy Dog, their staff, and the owners were awesome would give more stars if I could, the only problem I had was I didn’t know they changed to a new location, but now I do so learn from my mistake they are now right in the strip mall next to lallo’s, the new location is really done nice looks great. They made getting the dogs full service day spa treatment easy, and helped me out by telling me what my better half has done so I didn’t mess that up. When I picked the pups up my 2 over 50lb labs they looked great, clean, smelled great, and omg I don’t know why but I absolutely loved that the staff at the shaggy dog put bandannas on each one of the dogs I just thought that was so cute. Anyway I’m rambling thank you Amy, Mike, their wonderful staff, congratulations on the new location it looks great, and keep up the awesome service!!!
