I’m so glad I found Grooming Gals! My chihuahua seems happy with them too. I pick her up and she smells terrific! And Her coat is soft and shiny. Their pricing is good and they offer a variety of services. The groomers are skilled and good with all breeds. It’s easy and convenient making appointments too. I’m making it a point to continue as a happy client.

I decided to try a local grooming business close to my home after using PetSmart for 16 years without any grooming issues. After dropping off my 10-pound poodle, I received a call shortly afterward asking me to come pick him up because he was stressed by the number of animals there. I was then told they do not groom dogs over 12 years old. My question is: shouldn't that policy be communicated when the appointment is made, or at least before accepting the dog for grooming? In fact, I was asked my dog's age at drop-off, which would have been the perfect time to address any concerns. I appreciate the call and would never want my dog to be stressed. However, clear communication and transparency with clients are important. If a business is not comfortable grooming senior dogs, that's their choice, but that information should be provided upfront to avoid wasting the customer's time. He was fine at pick up

I've been taking my husky mix here for years and we've never had a bad experience. He went today and he's now 14 years old and I asked that they be extra gentle and if he couldn't tolerate something, to just skip it. His hips arent the best anymore. When I picked him up, she said he did fine but she groomed him laying down and apologized for any missed spots. But he looks fantastic.

Like another comment posted, we always had a good experience with grooming gals. The lady who usually grooms my dog left so another said she would take her. I started explaining how I like her cut and she told me they would do what they always have done which was fine with me. I picked my dog up and on the way home kept noticing a bad smell. I called to asked if they expressed her anal glands and they said no and that I can come back and get them done. I live 30 minutes away. Also her nails weren’t cut, and I’m not even sure her teeth were brushed. And her cut was choppy esp by her ears. I could tell this wasn’t the same service I usually get for my dog. Now I have to find another groomer that is closer and can express her anal glands cut her nails and brush her teeth. I gave a nice tip bc I thought I knew what to expect. The establishment is great but be selective with the groomer you have. Maybe ask to see their work before hand. Unfortunately I will be looking for a new groomer. Sorry for the bum pic but you can visibly see the anal glands weren’t expressed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you are in the Raleigh’ish area…We absolutely love The Grooming Gals! They are hands down the best groomers we’ve ever had. The way they care for our Ivy girl is just beyond sweet…so gentle, patient, and kind every single time. You can really tell they love what they do, and it shows in how happy and relaxed Ivy is after every visit. We highly recommend Cindy and Andrea to anyone looking for groomers who truly treat your pup like family - and they come to you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
