About The Groom Room Inc
Located at 1265 S Cotner Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68510, The Groom Room Inc operates as a pet groomer serving Lincoln in Nebraska. In Lincoln, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Nebraska, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–5:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (402) 486-4486. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

I brought my golden retriever to Groom Room for his first professional grooming. Debra did an excellent job and I could tell my dog had a great time while he was there. Each staff member I talked to from scheduling the appointment to dropping him off and picking him up was welcoming and friendly. I would absolutely recommend Groom Room to anyone! We will definitely be back!

Not one to normally post reviews. But I got a call during the middle of my dog’s appointment that a “previous scab” must have been washed off during the bath and was bleeding and that they just wanted me to know. I didn’t think much of it and went to pick him up as normal. Upon getting him he was VERY nervous and off. He had a wrap on his leg from this “scab” and it was bleeding through it. Upon looking at it, it was apparent he had been cut with scissors and had a fairly deep puncture that bled through 2 separate wraps. Mistakes happen, and I would have been fine if they had told me. Instead we were lied to and not offered any explanation or discount for that matter.

I almost never write reviews, but what happened with my older dog at The Groom Room was so troubling that I feel other pet owners deserve to know. My dog was dropped off at 8AM and wasn’t ready until after 1PM. In those five hours, it became very clear she was not let outside even once. On the way home, she was so desperate that she had an accident in the back seat, got it all over herself, sat in it, and was absolutely miserable. The mess was awful, but seeing her stressed and humiliated was worse. What happened next disturbed me even more. When I asked about it, the manager told me on the phone that they NEVER take dogs out to relieve themselves because they’re afraid the dogs might run away, and instead they expect dogs to “just go” in the shop if they need to. Hearing that shocked me. In my opinion, expecting a trained dog (especially an older one) to hold it for hours or to soil on the floor or in their kennel is not just unhealthy, it is very neglectful. She was also extremely thirsty when we got home, which made me worry that she may not have had water available at all during all those hours. After what I saw and what I was told, I no longer feel confident that basic care

Our dog Kennedy has enjoyed many wonderful haircuts from the groom room. We always get a good report when he's finished about what they were able to accomplish while he was in for the grooming. Sometimes Kennedy isn't cooperative and there needs to be a modification done to his hair and we're fine with that, they are always good to tell us when that happens because Kennedy doesn't like sharp objects next to his nose or ears. When we pick him up he is always excited and always looks like a million bucks. We will continue to take Kennedy and our future animals to the groom room because of their wonderful nature and care for our animals. 💓

I have tried various groomers for my large bernedoodle and none have come close to the Groom Room. Sarah was very understanding of what I wanted and took the time to talk with me to discuss the specific cut I wanted on my dog. They even gave me extra advice on what tools to buy to keep the cut nice in between grooming appointments. It is the third time I bring my dog here and they have not disappointed me once! + the staff is extremely friendly!
