About The Doggie Parlor

Located at 212 N Poinsett Hwy, Travelers Rest, SC 29690, The Doggie Parlor operates as a pet groomer serving Travelers Rest in South Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

Hours are published for 3 days a week. Typical hours are 8:30 am–1:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach The Doggie Parlor at (864) 561-0851; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 31 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pet groomers in Travelers Rest.

Travelers Rest is in South Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Travelers Rest follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Yesterday, I took my pup to a local vet because he had an embedded dewclaw in his paw pad. After spending $259, I was told that he didn’t like being restrained and was sent home with Gabapentin and Trazodone. I was then told I could either try to cut the dewclaw myself or bring him back and pay another $109–$326, depending on whether the medications calmed him enough or if he needed to be sedated. Needless to say, I was pretty upset and wasn’t comfortable with either option. I called The Doggie Parlor and explained what had happened. From the moment I spoke with them, they were so caring, understanding, and reassuring. She told me, “Don’t drug your baby up. Just bring him to me.” ❤️ They were absolutely AMAZING! She took her time getting him comfortable and never rushed him. Once he was on the table, she let him sniff her hands and the clippers so he could get familiar with everything. She went slowly, talked to him the entire time, and even gave him little breaks between trims to help ease his anxiety. And you know what? He did SO well! He wasn’t nearly as anxious as we expected, and she was able to take care of his dewclaw without having to drug or sedate him. She told me to

This is one of the best dog grooming places I've ever been to they're very kind very efficient fairly priced and just darn nice people. Our little Dolly Parton is treated so well and for a frightened rescue dog she comes out of there happy and showing off her new cut

These ladies are the best! They love all of the dogs so much and treat them like their own. I have been going to them for close to 6 years and always have a positive experience. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I have two pit mixes and small 15 pound mix breed and they all love going there.
