The Dog House was established in 1965 and is one of the original grooming shops in South Jersey. The current owner, Lisa-Marie, has been working with animals since she was five years old. She currently lives on a farm in Gloucester County with her beloved pooch, Brewster, while her kitty sidekick, Sir Fancypants, resides in the shop, meeting and greeting all of our guests! In addition to the conventional grooming services, we also offer pet hair-coloring, and pet supplies. We carry products such as leashes, collars, toys, apparel, treats, and flea & tick solutions.

Marcy loves coming into the dog house. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, as she some anxiety with new people, but they did a great job cleaning her up and sent her home with a cute scarf

Lindsay and I have been coming here for over 2 years and we are elated with the service. They treat our dogs with high quality care and respect. They are timely, professional and affordable. We also appreciate their thoughtfulness, always giving our fur-babies parting treats (every holiday). That’s a special bonus. We have lived in Audubon for 23 years and have always had dogs...dogs that didn't necessarily need grooming. Recently, we adopted 11-year old Jake and you can see below, he definitely needed a spa grooming! I called The Dog House on a Friday afternoon. Lisa Marie, the owner, picked up on the second ring! So lovely to speak with, answered all my nervous mom inquiries and was able to give us an appointment for the next morning! I was nervous yet excited for Jake...a blueberry facial, an oatmeal bath and all the other treatments included. As a shelter dog, we weren't sure what his reaction would be. He did so well, he is such a chill dog. Lisa Marie and her team took such wonderful care of him! His haircut brought out all his cute features and they clipped him perfectly! His tail no longer mops up the road as he moves about town! When he returned home...adorable! I fell in love with him all over again! He was like a puppy zooming about the house - he felt so good! My husband and I are so happy to have chosen the Dog House for our Jake. Their services were well done and thorough yet gentle and not rushed. You won't find a better price anywhere else in the area! The before and after photos speak for themselves. I brought my dog in asking for a trim. They cut all my poor boys hair off--in the middle of the winter. I will never go back. And this doesn't even speak to their terrible customer service. I got a call at 143 telling me my dog was done and they are closing at 2. 17 minute warning to not incur an additional fee (i managed to get there before 2 nevertheless).

Highly recommend this place! Was visiting my sister for the weekend and my dog had a disgusting crate accident and was drenched in pee and poo all over. We called this place with an urgent need and even though they were full and near closing for the day they fit us in given the urgency. The team of people here are lovely. My dog has pretty awful anxiety. Even though we only requested a wash, they saw her nails were long and cut those as well, dancing and singing to distract her from the nail clipping. They were so friendly, kind, and understanding of my dogs needs, without ever having interacted with her before. If I’m ever in the area again I know where I’m taking her for a groom! 10/10. Life savers and Greta with animals :) thank you again!!
