About The Dog Barber

Located at 1903 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94103, The Dog Barber operates as a pet groomer serving San Francisco in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as pet care, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In San Francisco, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in California, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9 am–6 pm. It is closed on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (415) 552-7387. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thedogbarbersf.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 130 reviews, which is a strong result for a pet groomer in San Francisco and suggests consistent service.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in San Francisco peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Hey there Golden EYE. I see your remarks in my tray. Putting some food on the table for me. Merci! I tried to leave you a post, saying thanks, in Spanish... But that taco bell, is closed down. A million thanks for dinner! Just casual conversation drifting into the next sentence. Phrase one. REJECTED Phase two? INFECTED Phase 3... Left to the higher power who knows how to chow down. With two seconds left on the clock... How fast can get in a belly? I'll seek out Austin powers for that note! I want to write you a yearning filled song, about desire. But I'm afraid it leads me back to numbers. It's not just a number. It's just a rule, that with teeth makes no sense... Unless the voices cannot hear. Unless the voices do not speak. Unless the voices have no place, but that rights... Still exist. To hate the enemy as much as those "I'm with". It's harder than my broken heart, and it's thicker than my skin. Ad more painful than anything. I've been in someone's test tube all my life. And this is all I have to show for it. One day of signs, wiped out, by the same wave. A student forever... Not a Berkely fan. Because it's stuck on me. No one was right. No one was wron

Roberto is very professional. My dog is reactive and not easy to work with. Roberto was able to do a great job with the full grooming service. He was patient with me as a new customer. I'm happy with the end result and will continue to support the Dog Barber.

My dog is twelve years old and blind, but she's always been taken really good care of at Dog Barber. It's hard to find a really good groomer, and I trust them with my dog. I saw her being groomed on the table — she can't see, but she's not scared at all. My dog is really nice and cute, but it's not just that, the people here just take really good care of her. I'm extremely grateful. This simple thing makes me feel like this is a community worth staying in, and I wanted to share with the rest of the dog owners.

Roberto and the Staff performed a miracle on my rough collie, Kona Lassie! She looked SO beautiful, smelled amazing and her coat was SO well groomed & transformed! It’s my first time using The Dog Barber, and shopped around for the cost ($100+) but I will definitely become a repeat customer with my other rough collie, Zeus Laddie! Thank you Roberto for taking care of my furbaby! 🐕🥰

After hearing great reviews from the doodle community, I decided to give this place a try. My dog Croissant is about 15 lbs, poodlemix. The grooming was $100. It took about 3 hours. Plan ahead because it takes a while (5-6 weeks) to get to schedule. The booking process was by leaving a voicemail and they texted me the the availability. Pretty simple process. I sent the photos of what type of haircut I wanted to Roberto ahead of time. His team did a great job on my dog. The only downside is finding parking since it is located on Market St.
