The Animal Hospital & Pet Resort at Southwood

Everyone at Southwood Animal Hospital is great! DeDe (my 80+ lb GoldenDoodle) saw Dr Rhilinger. She is awesome. DeDe has become skittish when it comes to meeting new people & just wants to hide. Somehow Dr Rhilinger was able to gain her trust almost immediately. Since DeDe has been spayed she has put on weight. Dr Rhilinger discussed several options to get her weight back down. She also discussed options for handling DeDe's itching. I will definitely return to Southwood & Dr Rhilinger. Thank you all!

The team takes such good care of Belle that she gets excited before we even pull into the parking lot, then rushes to them as soon as we get inside. (And, I swear she seems disappointed when I come to pick her up!) :-)

The staff here is incredibly. They really go above and beyond, showing genuine love for our furry family members. Highly recommend. Chuck even says he’s not a huge fan of the going to the vet but he tolerates this place the most.

The Animal Hospital at Southwood is the absolute best. The most amazing and compassionate staff (receptionists, vet techs, and veterinarians). My 2 dogs see Dr. Smith and my cat sees Dr. Brown and I am always so happy to talk to them at our appointments because they are so sweet and informative. You can tell they truly care about your babies. But, the awesomeness of this place doesn’t stop with the veterinarian services- they have an amazing pet resort too! I’m always comforted leaving my babies here because I know they will be taken care. We get pictures of them during play time and they come home all smiles with a little report card! Unfortunately, my family is moving to Texas and the saddest part about our move is that we won’t be a part of the Southwood family anymore and will have to find a new clinic, which will be hard as Southwood has set the standard very high! If you’re looking for a new vet, please stop right now and call Southwood! You will not be disappointed by these amazing people.

Such a great place for your dogs. Every time we take our dogs here they are excited to go. They also include a bath, dog cologne, and nail trim if you stay over a certain amount of days. This was our dogs' 3rd time staying and it was for 10 days. They send you the best pictures of the dogs too! For added convenience the doctor saw them for their annual check up during their stay!
