The Academy of Pet Careers

Such a great experience to have hands on teaching even through the online course. I chose this program for this exact reason and to work at my own pace while going through life. My advising coach Addi was super helpful in reaching out to follow up on my progress and provide resources. My instructor Hannah was amazing in giving feedback on my training as well as helpful tips. The teachings are very detailed which makes it easy to learn and retain the information.

I chose the Academy of Pet Careers (APC) because I was looking for a program that would give me real skills in dog training, not just basic information. I wanted something that was hands-on, easy to understand, and would help prepare me for working with dogs in the future. What I enjoyed most about APC was how clear and organized the curriculum was. The instructors explained everything in a way that was simple but still very detailed, which made it easier to understand. I also liked the flexibility of the program and how supportive the instructors were throughout the process. This certification has helped me build confidence in my training skills and better understand how dogs learn. I now feel more prepared to work with dogs and continue growing in this field. What makes APC different is how practical the training is. It’s not just theory—you actually learn how to apply the skills in real-life situations. I would tell anyone considering the program that it’s a great choice if you want clear guidance and real experience.

If you're looking for a great facility to learn how to train dogs with positive methods then look no further! They offer in person and remote courses, a great when you have a busy work schedule like me. Hannah made learning from home and with my own dogs clear and fun. Any question I had was answered and fully explained. They offered a great week long workshop for the remote course students which was extremely helpful on getting a further understanding and the hands on direction. The extra time with the personal attention helped me complete assignments more effectively and a deeper understanding of the mechanics in training. I am very excited to continue to use what I have learned in my training career. Thank you APC!

Absolutely loved it here at The Academy of Pet Careers! Its a bittersweet graduation, happy to start my career but sad to have to leave the wonderful people of APC. The instructors were great people and listened to everything with open minds and gladly corrected any mistakes without judgement. Very understanding people and the course work was perfectly spaced and nothing was rushed through, I personally enjoyed every unit, the teaching style was perfect for me. All the practicals and hands-on stuff was really fun and challenging at the same time, the instructors helped any way possible, finding new and fun ways to explain different things based on you. 10/10 school, I do recommend coming here if you want to start your career in Vet Assisting, Grooming, or Training. Lovely place I will miss
