In Raleigh, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in North Carolina, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Raleigh is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Raleigh follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I would highly recommend this place, Samantha is really nice and is able to groom my dog in less than an hour. I have a big dog and the grooming is $70 which I think is a fair price compared to others in the area.

We’ve used Tall Tails several times for full grooms and have always had a great experience. They consistently tailor the groom to exactly what we ask for, and our pup comes back looking cuter than ever every time. They’re prompt, reliable, and the one-on-one grooming experience really sets them apart. We feel incredibly lucky to have found them! 🐾

We had a great experience with Sam! She was accommodating to our schedule (we kept changing it up on her!) and gave our pup extra care for no charge. We highly recommend and will be returning here.

My dogs love their grooming experiences with Samantha and Tall Tails. They are treated to one on one hands on grooming in a no stress environment and enjoy their appointments. Samantha brings years of experience to her business, as she reportedly served as a vet tech at a local DVM for years. My pets have been her clients since she opened the business and will continue to do so. I appreciate the personal, caring services my pets receive.

We just wanted to share our experience with others. We chose this place because of all of the 5 star reviews-however, our puppy did not receive a 5 star visit, unfortunately. We booked the appointment 2-3 days in advance online. The next morning we received a text that, due to cancellations, they could fit our pet in for a bath and trim, but in the future, they may not be able to accommodate him. I was absolutely confused about receiving this text and replied back asking if there was an issue with his appointment and why was he being “fit in” if they had an opening and availability to book?! Melanie then said that they were not accepting any new clients at this time but would accommodate him since they had cancellations anyway🤔I then received an email with an extended contract that I had to sign before they provided any services. I had never seen anything like this before at another pet groomer and that should’ve been another red flag 🚩 that they’ve obviously had issues at this place before. Fast forward to today, I dropped our puppy off and they texted less than a hr later that he was almost ready. My husband picked him up and then called me saying they cut his ear!! I immediately
