In Augusta, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Georgia, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Augusta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Augusta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is Miss kitty's vacation spot. They take good care of my cat. I gave only 3 stars because I haven't seen just HOW cats are boarded. I will ask for a tour next time..

They were very accommodating to all of our needs for a quick boarding (only a few hours) when we needed while traveling through the area. Their staff is very friendly and put our minds at ease while being able to focus on a friends health concern, knowing my friends animal would be safe with them!

This is the first and absolute last time I use Suggs Kennel. I boarded my cat for 7 days and explained when I dropped her off that she gets 1 can of fancy feast in the morning and 1 can of friskies at night. I also separated her food into 2 bags (morning and night) and wrote the feeding directions on the plastic bags. When I picked her up, all 7 cans of fancy feast were still in the bag. They only fed her ONE can of food per day the entire time she was there. I’m sure my cat was nervous and didn’t eat much the first night or two, but it’s completely unacceptable to skip morning feeds entirely. It’s quite possible they left her with rotting food to pick at all day. If she didn’t eat much at night or in the morning, I would expect the staff to throw it out and make sure she gets a new can for the next meal. I provided exactly the amount of food she needed during her stay to would ensure she had a new can for each morning and night. It’s no wonder that when we came home, she devoured an entire can of food immediately. Please do NOT board your pet here.

I boarded my new pup here for 4 nights. I was instructed over the phone when I made the booking that cash up front is required- no cards are accepted. All fine- dropped off my pup with his food and his bed and a couple of toys. The two employees there were very nice but I did notice that they were quite young- probably teenagers. Four days later when I came to pick him up, I noticed immediately he had a very strong odor of urine. I just wanted to get him home to bathe him so I asked a third employee (also a teenager) for the dog bed and toys so I could go. He said that there was no bed in his cage and that he hadn’t seen a bed in there the whole time. This was concerning. He looked around and tried making a phone call with no luck. I said I’d give them a day and check back about the bed. They located the bed and I picked it up the next day- and it had the same awful urine smell. I’ve washed it twice and am going to have to throw it out. It’s too stinky. I understand that dogs have accidents- but I tend to think that he must’ve spent much of his time there urine soaked with no bed. On a positive note, he was well fed and he wasn’t injured. But I don’t think I’ll use this kennel aga

Suggs has taken care of our dogs for the last few years and I cannot say enough great things about them. The staff are phenomenal and there is not a lot of turnover, so we know people by name every time we walk in there. Our puppies are always excited to go there and have always been treated well. On multiple occasions, they have saved us with accommodating last minute boarding and do so with a smile every time. I cannot say enough good things about how beneficial they have been for our two huskies!
