Found newborn kittens on my porch the other day; decided to give them a few days for the mother to come back. Found one dead, and two injured today; so I called to see the procedure for dealing with the injured ones. They said they could not help me because, despite living eight minutes away, I was outside city limits. They told me I had to go to a place 30 minutes away. I realized the injured kittens were dying, and decided that it's much more reasonable to come to them given the circumstances, and try to explain the severity of the situation, and show them the injuries. The woman I spoke to in person once I got there completely downplayed the entire situation. Did not get her name, but the lady was extremely condescending and callous about the whole situation. First, she tried telling me that she cannot help since they wait 48 hours for mom to come back. I told her I've waited and don't think the mom is returning; and instead of proceeding with the logic of her previously stated regulation, she argues "How do you know Mom didn't come at night?" and that the mom is "taking them one by one." I had already explained to her that one kitten was dead; two are injured (and showed her

Was directed from the City of Sugar Land to bring a domestic stray found at my Job in Sugar Land. Was rejected by the team here after calling in advance and confirming with the city directly due to me not being a Sugar Land resident I even offered to prove my employment via business card?! Than proceeded to reccomend KILL shelters and not even confirming availability for drop offs to which most of them arent accepting. A JOKEEEEE to say the least.

We had the most amazing experience adopting our new cat from the Sugar Land Animal Adoption Center! From the moment we walked in, every staff member made us feel so welcomed and supported throughout the entire process. You can truly tell how much everyone cares about the animals and helping them find the perfect homes. A huge thank you to Stefanie for going above and beyond with the sleepover program accommodations and for her excellent communication during the adoption process. She made everything so smooth, stress free, and exciting for us, and we are so grateful for all of her help and kindness. The environment was so warm, clean, and inviting, and it made the experience even more special. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do for these animals and for helping us find the perfect new addition to our family. We could not recommend Sugar Land Animal Adoption Center more!

We adopted our kitten from here. Everyone was so helpful. I have fostered with this shelter for the last 2 years and they work hard to care for and Rehome stray and abandoned pets. The staff here are polite and informative and strive to do their best for the local community. You can volunteer, donate and foster. They have a donation bin outside for easy drop off of new and gently used items. They require volunteers for dog walking, fostering etc and can provide volunteer hours for students of the right age. They sometimes offer training on how to feed kittens and care for animals. They have easy access premises for both cats and dogs with accessible parking right there on site.
