Dr Kohler is the best. Very friendly and kept me updated throughout my pups dental procedure. Every visit we have had prior, she is very attentive. It is evident she is passionate about what she does and truly cares. Would recommend her

On two occasions while traveling through Lake Charles my Westie needed to see a veterinarian. Dr. Kohler saw my dog for different issues both times. Southside Animal Hospital is excellent, A+++!!! Dr. Kohler is very knowledgeable, highly professional, and took great care of my dog. The staff at Southside are fabulous. Very friendly and so kind and helpful. I wish there was a Southside Animal Hospital where I lived. I'm very grateful to Dr. Kohler and the staff!

Horrible experience with my puppy here after his visit I called to speak to the vet that saw him; however one of her rude colleagues answered the phone VERY unprofessionally and dismissive to my baby’s needs and my concerns for his post visit condition. She exclaimed that I just “wanna talk about it” but I wanted them to offer to fix what IS wrong with my baby instead of trying to get more money from me with me also being a loyal client bringing all my 4 legged kids here for her to be so ugly and rude and dismissive. I am now bringing my babies back to my old place in Gonzales where we received excellent care and I never got dismissed for a phone call or anything of that matter. This place is for a certain kind of people, but the vet we saw had she had her OWN practice I would just go to her. Sad about that cause she was great , the rest can really go pray about being kind and concerned about peoples four legged kids that we put in their care. She should go be a podiatrist since her foot is in the wrong direction !

Haven’t had A problem with this Vet until recently. I just got off the phone with a doctor there and she was very rude about what they prescribed to my new puppy. I got him his first round of shots with them and they called me back about a week later and said that he had hookworms they prescribed him a powder and said to give it to him from three days with canned food I did that before that the dog was fine. Everything was fine. Nothing was wrong since I have concluded giving him the three days of medicine for five days straight. This puppy has had nonstop diarrhea feces everywhere on furniture. I’ve been having to bleach everything throw everything away a furniture included. I called these people today straight and they told me the doctor was gonna call me back now all of a sudden she’s not available until a certain day next week they want me to spend more money or bring them back in for more test and bring them back in for my testing. I’m not gonna do that if you already tested him and prescribed him this why would I keep spending money if you already found a problem and treated it supposedly allegedly and now you wanna be rude because your medicine messed up my puppy to where he

Dr. Michelle has been my vet for over 10 years. She is by far the most helpful vet I’ve ever used. I’ve used many vets over the years, but she has a bedside manner & concern for my animals that no other vet has ever shown. She & her staff listen to my concerns & treat my animals as they are their own. Thank you to Dr. Michelle, Dr. Kohler & the entire staff at Southside for their love & compassion!
