We went to a class this morning at Smooch My Pooch to teach us the basics of grooming our standard poodle Callie. Everyone was great to work with and very patient in teaching us how to do all the things. Well worth the time and money. Clean those ears and teeth!

Smooch My Pooch has once again done a great job on my SPOO puppy. Apparently, we didn't get her ears combed out as well as we should have but they handled it perfectly with no problem. They are always so welcoming when we arrive and sweet to Callie. And always schedule her next appointment immediately so I don't even have to think about it.

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. When my brother gave me his dog Pluto, I brought her back to Smooch My Pooch because I remember my brother bringing her there so Pluto has been coming here for years. The first time I went, I paid like $60 something and added tip so around $70 and she looked beautiful, came out smelling amazing, and no fur shedding. (The smoochable package) The second time I brought her I paid around $45 with tip as well, this time I got the basic package but let them know to deshed her as well … well that Saturday I was told there wasn’t enough groomers so they gave me my dog still wet and her fur not deshed at all even thought I spoke to a lady and she said it could be done. After paying, I had to go home and blow dry and brush her MYSELF, like I didn’t just pay a grooming service to get it done. This time , I brought Pluto back and let the girl in the front counter know about my experience from last time and I asked her for an estimate on how much it would for this visit and I added a bandana like I always do and she quoted me around $64 for the smoochable package not including the bandana, great we agreed on that and I left my dog there. Me and my significant other have been bringing our husky, Pluto, to Smooch My Pooch for a long time for grooming services, but today was the final straw. Before dropping her off, I specifically asked how much the deshedding would cost. The staff member checked the computer and clearly told me $64. No problem. We agreed and left Pluto for her grooming. When I came back to pick her up, suddenly the price jumped to $79. When I asked why, I was told it was because “someone had to hold her up.” That makes absolutely no sense for several reasons: 1. I’ve brought her here many times and have NEVER been charged this mysterious fee. 2. Groomers have equipment specifically made to support dogs during grooming. Why am I paying extra for another human to do what the equipment is designed to do? Then things got worse. When they brought Pluto out, she had an orange residue on the white fur of her face, which has never happened before. And once we got home, I pet her and immediately noticed huge amounts of hair still coming off as if she hadn’t even been deshedded. What exactly did I pay $79 for? OMG....I'm so thankful I found this Lil gem for our mini Dachshund "Dolly"! She is only 4 months old and has never boarded away from us. When we walked in to Smooch My Pooch today, they knew Dolly's name immediately and you can tell everyone working there absolutely loves their job! (I was a mess while leaving) -Fawn and her team took SUCH great care handling her. I was able to peep in on her with the web cams! Great job to this team for creating such a great first impression and 1st experience for Dolly!
