Spitten Kitten is a fantastic place to get your kitties boarded if you are going out of town, or to get nail caps or grooming done. All of the cat lovers who work there are friendly and always willing to talk about all sorts of cat food, cat toys, and cats that they have up for adoption at their Des Moines location. Make sure to say hi to Sam their resident Kitty!

Super poor care. They cut my cat about 5 times and claimed it was because she had skin tags. Poor girl was bleeding and her tail was all cut up when I got her back but that's not even the worst part!! She ended up with Ringworm from being groomed there. Mind you, this is a house cat who never goes outside the home or is around any other pets. Smitten Kitten is responsible for this and they should be and will be liable for her care. I will make sure of it! Trust me. I'm only putting this out there so it doesn't happen to another animal because apparently their facility is NOT clean. Be aware taking your pet here! Not recommended especially the pricing I had to pay and now we have even more expenses on top of it all and they should be held responsible. Worst place ever!! I will never go back there after this experience. We used to go there all the time a few years ago but this place has gotten horrible. Now my cat has an infection on top of all the spots they cut into her. Poor girl! Breaks my heart and I never want anyone to have to go through this! Don't go here for services. I went back to get my deposit back that was supposed to be switched over for Septembers appointment that I

My cat got her nails trimmed and got claw caps put on for the first time here, and it was a wonderful experience. It was much cheaper than anticipated, about $20 for front paws only and $25 for front and back. The groomer did a wonderful job with my kitty, I couldn't hear any sort of protesting from my cat throughout the experience. It was also surprisingly quick! It only took about ten minutes, and I spent that time browsing for gourmet cat treats!
