I love Slade, I fully trust them with my cats. Staff is always professional and takes the best care of my boys! I also appreciate the fact that unlike other vets every time I have an appointment staff has been on time and I don’t have to wait in the waiting room. They also are very good with communication, I had to take my cat to an emergency appointment and they got the records to me right away. They truly take the time to guarantee my pets are comfortable and healthy. This place is great, management is doing a great job!

I need International Travel Documents for my dog to travel with me on Dec 2026. We are just on July 2 and the front desk told me they can not accept new patients in the next 2-3 months. Ok but I just need for Dec, so I would like to have an estimate. She recommended some places, that I appreciated, but honestly this didn't eliminate my frustration that how this person is closing completely a door for a potential patient (puppy in this case...)

I have had a great experience with Slade Veterinary Hospital for over a year, which makes my last two visits especially disappointing. Up until recently, Dr. Nick and the front desk staff have always been professional, kind, and caring toward my dog, Kai. Kai has anxiety around nail trims after previously having his quick exposed during play. However, with the help of a female technician and prescribed medication, he had successfully allowed his nails to be trimmed during his last two appointments. At my most recent nail trim appointment, I was informed the morning of the appointment that the technician Kai was comfortable with was not in that day. Since I had already given him the prescribed medication the night before, I decided to proceed with the appointment. Unfortunately, the male technician who worked with Kai was unable to trim his nails and seemed dismissive when I explained that Kai had previously done well with another technician. He recommended significantly increasing Kai’s gabapentin dosage for a future appointment, but the interaction felt rude and lacked the patience and understanding we had experienced previously. Today, we experienced an emergency after I accid

I initially had a positive experience with Slade Veterinary when I brought my nine-month-old French bulldog in to be spayed. Earlier this week, I brought my other French bulldog to Slade on both Tuesday and Wednesday for progesterone testing after unexpectedly finding out she was pregnant. I was then scheduled for a follow-up appointment on Thursday at 10 a.m.—a time that was set based on their availability, even though it was not convenient for me and conflicted with a prior obligation I already had at that exact time. Because of that scheduling conflict, I was unable to make the appointment. Given the urgency of my dog nearing labor and needing timely testing, I had no choice but to go to Tufts to ensure she received the care she needed without delay. Up until that point, scheduling had never been an issue. However, after informing Slade that I had gone elsewhere for testing, I was then told there were no appointments available moving forward. This is despite the fact that my dog is expected to go into labor within the next day or two and may require a C-section. I was told there was no availability until after Saturday—which, given the timing, raises serious concerns. To sch

I love Dr Nick and Dr Fiamengo!! I have been a client of the Slade Vet since back in 1990. I recently had to say goodbye to Sam, my companion of 11yrs(she was as 22yrs old). Dr Nick was very compassionate. I brought her in because she was very sick. Dr Nick evaluated her thoroughly and addressed my concerns. We both decided that the humane thing was to say goodbye. A week later I adopted another senior cat. I knew there was going to be health issues but there was a lot that I wasn’t prepared for. Also, many things have changed from when I first adopted Sam back in 2014. They both listened to my concerns and addressed them in detail. I felt like I found great partners for Sweetie’s care. I had to bring her in three times in the last 2 wks. They’ve been fantastic. Today Dr Fiemango spent time with me over the phone, going over details in Sweetie’s care as well as diet suggestions. I believe that you get what you put in. Ask questions, do your research, look for advice, follow directions. They both took time and made me feel comfortable and clear on what the next steps are. Of course the receptionists and the technicians are amazing too. The exam rooms are clean and organized. I highl
