Long Beach is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Long Beach follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I thought our dog would forever be an inside dog due to her reactivity. I thought I’d never get to take a family walk with her because of her terrorizing others. I thought I had to live with this for the rest of her life. BUT I WAS WRONG!! Sit Means Sit gave us the tools to tame our reactive dog, build her trust in us as her owners, reclaim our peace, and truly include our dog as part of our family!!! And YES old dogs can learn new tricks! Our 7 year old Malinois has had a complete turnaround from where we were in just a few months! We are able to be around other dogs now. We went to the park for the first time in over 5 years. I feel confident as a leader and I’m no longer terrified of the unknown! Thank you Sit Means Sit for your belief in us and your amazing training tools!! Thank you for taking the time to train us as owners as well as our pup. I highly recommend this dog training service both for simple obedience or reactivity training!

We brought both of our pups, Zeus (21 months) and Eros (15 months), to train with Lisa and her team, and the experience has been nothing short of incredible. When we first met Lisa, we explained that Zeus had been our problem dog since about six months old. He showed aggression toward other dogs and people—including our vet, who would only see him if he was muzzled and harnessed. We had tried group training, worked with behavioral specialists, and used treat-based methods, all with limited success. After just three days with Lisa and her team, we saw a major shift in both dogs. Now, six weeks into using the Sit Means Sit methods, Zeus is confident, obedient, and shows no signs of aggression whatsoever. Both dogs are now a pleasure to walk—on and off leash—and are well-behaved at dog parks, beaches, and everywhere we take them. It’s truly been a transformation. We know there’s still more to teach our dogs, but with Lisa and her team’s guidance, we feel confident they’ll be in great hands for life. Thank you so much! Steve & Susan

We’ve had Avalon since she was 10 weeks old. She’s a super smart and curious Weimeraner. She’s high energy and she’s a big girl. We looked for training opportunities to help us manage her without eliminating her personality. We selected Sit Means Sit because Lisa Marie provided a clear picture of the path to success. The approach is clearly documented. The schedule is structured and complete. The value they’ve provided is definitely worth the price - a well behaved dog is an investment of time. The help they provide reduces the time required to succeed with our objectives. Avie has completed her individual training and is so excited to be promoted to group class. This now 14 month old Weim is, as the kids say, “sliving.”

Lisa Marie has been so helpful with our dog, Tofu. We have a very anxious high energy dog with the attention span of a gold fish and are already seeing some signs of improvement with her! It’s just a matter of staying consistent and putting what we have been learning into every day practice. She’s very knowledgeable and patient and shows that she truly cares and loves what she does. I’m looking forward to seeing my dog continue to grow and learn with her!

We found Lisa-Marie more than 2 years ago to help us with our reactive dog. We tried everything else and multiple other trainers and nothing else worked. Training with Lisa-Marie has allowed us to attend numerous group classes and pack walls which helped our dog’s reactivity immensely. We enrolled our second dog into training as well and are so glad that we did. The two of them are much more confident and obedient pup which has improved their and our lives! We can enjoy activities together and give them more freedom to be dogs!
