Today, my beloved dog Milo had his first grooming session at Lana’s salon. I am so grateful to Lana for making my dog ​​look so beautiful. We moved to Union and were looking for a good groomer; after trying three other salons in the area, we finally found the best one in New Jersey. After bringing our energetic dog into this grooming shop, he came home sick for over a week. During his grooming, he was cut, which led to a severe infection. We were told that he was matted, but does that mean he shouldn’t have been handled with care? If his condition made it unsafe or impossible to groom him, then he should have been denied service instead of being injured. To make matters worse, the owner was blamed for “neglect” despite bringing her dog to the same professional groomer she had trusted for years. Not only did she pay for the grooming, but she was also left with an expensive veterinary bill. There was no apology, no accountability, and no offer to help with the medical expenses only disrespect and blame. The most heartbreaking part was fearing she might lose her dog because of what happened. That experience alone is something no pet owner should have to endure. The first red flag should have been the waiver that focused on “neglect.” Customer service is about more than completing a transaction. It requires empathy, compassion, accountability, and genuine care for both the pets and their owners. Unfortunately, that was completely missing from this experience.

AMAZING!! I have been looking for a local groomer to establish my pup with and narrowed down on two places in Union. I was looking for a nice independent shop that would care for my dog throughout the whole grooming experience. I have an older dog and get anxious about leaving him with other people, worrying if they’re taking their time with him and not forcing him to do anything just because it’s faster. After emailing Silky Pups about a new appointment, I got an email back just a few days later and was able to book him in towards the end of September. When we came in, the shop was so quaint and the owner was so kind to us. After a few hours, I got a text that he was ready to be picked up and boy was I not prepared for this amount of cuteness! My little boy received the best, and I am not exaggerating, the BEST haircut he has ever gotten. He smelled so lovely and was cut exactly how I wanted! She even gave him a little tie around his neck that made me bawl hours after his appointment because he looked so darling. Overall, it was an amazing experience, very reasonable prices for the whole package, I felt kept in the loop about my dog the whole time, and felt that he was in good han

Lana and her team did an amazing job with my baby girl Dahlia. This was her first time ever getting groomed, so naturally she was scared and a little noisy. Lana was patient with her and before starting she made sure both Dahlia and her team would be comfortable. When I came back Dahlia came out looking beautiful and excited ! I will definitely bring her back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a little spa day for their beloved fur babies. Thank you Lana !

Lana is very professional and an amazing dog groomer. I have been taking our puppy to her since we got him and every time he comes out happy and looking great. She always asks the right questions to make sure she cuts him how we want. Just look at the before and after pictures! 100% recommend Silky Pups for all your dog grooming needs
