About Shirley's Pet Grooming

Located at 7300 Read Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70127, Shirley's Pet Grooming operates as a pet groomer serving New Orleans in Louisiana. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

In New Orleans, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Louisiana, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Shirley's Pet Grooming at (504) 242-7387; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 89 reviews, which is a strong result for a pet groomer in New Orleans and suggests consistent service.

New Orleans is in Louisiana, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in New Orleans peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Brought my dog in to get his nails clipped. Following the service I was told that my dog started bleeding due to a nail curling back into his skin, but after looking at him once we returned home I saw that the nail was clipped too short. There is no evidence of injury to his skin. I understand that mistakes happen but I don't appreciate being lied to!

I have been going to Ms. Shirley's for more than 25 years. She was first on Gentilly Blvd for many years before moving to the N.O. East. A family owned business, that has groomed both my mini Schnauzer's. First Tippi then Tippa. Great Groomers and very nice owners!

Just picked my babies back up from Shirl's Pet Grooming (we were walk-ins this morning) and I couldn't be happier with the job they did. I swear I have 2 new dogs! 😁 Their prices are great and their work is even better. Thank y'all so very much, we'll be seeing y'all again!

They did a really good job on Dash's haircut. The price was reasonable and the customer service was great. I plan to make this a monthly service.

I am soooo glad to post about the greatness of this business. They are absolutely wonderful we have a very hairy extremely shedding German Shepard that the hair had taken over the house, washer/dryer furniture ...etc. She suggested a total cut to get on top of the shedding, and we were apprehensive bc we're accustomed to the hair, but look how cute, the before and after😍🐺. And whats better is he was happy when we picked him up and even kissed the Groomer goodbye, that meant everything bc now I know they didn't mistreat him, my favorite part of it all, a definite lifetime relationship from here on out🤗🤗🤗
