About Shag 2 Chic Pet Salon and Spa
Servicing all cat and dog grooming needs.
Located at 10731 Hwy 44 E Ste A, Mt Washington, KY 40047, Shag 2 Chic Pet Salon and Spa operates as a pet groomer serving Mt Washington in Kentucky. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.
Hours are published for 4 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–4 pm. Note that it does not open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Mt Washington is in Kentucky, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Mt Washington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Absolutely amazing groomer! We couldn’t be happier with the care and attention our dog received. From the moment we walked in, it was obvious that they truly love what they do and genuinely care about the animals in their care. Mingie comes home looking absolutely adorable, smelling amazing, and most importantly, happy and comfortable. They did an incredible job, paid attention to all the little details, and were so kind and patient. It is the best when it someone you can completely trust with your fur baby. We come back and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a groomer! 🐾❤️

Brought my dog in to be groomed and bathed. The appt was at 9.00am. My mother had to be put in a nursing home for rehab in Bardstown and I had to go see her before noon. At 10.30 I called them and explained that I had to go to bardstown this morning, how long will he be I will wait before I leave to pick him up if he will be ready soon. I was told thats no problem the bathing and grooming takes about 3-4 hours to complete. I said Thank you I will be back right after lunch to get him. While there I recieved a text saying he was done. 20 minutes later I recieved a phone call saying he has been done and your coming up on your 90 minute pick up time. I explained that i called and was told no problem but iam in bardstown and will leave now to head that way. When I arrived I was told that because i was late iam being charged extra for a late pick up fee. I explained that i was told thats fine i had time to go to Bardstown. Then she started getting smart explaining that i had recieved text and i was late getting there. So when i told her if she wants paid shes taking off the late charge..I was then told that because i was being rude she never wanted my business again. I said you dont have

Recently had my cat shaved for summer, and this was our first time using Shag 2 Chic. Communication with the salon is a breeze, with text reminders for drop off and letting you know when you can pick up your animal. Staff were friendly and everything looked clean from what you can see from the lobby area.

I took my Aussie (Max) in to get groomed by Payton! She went above and beyond. It’s been hard finding a groomer who actually does well with this breed of dog, and she exceeded all expectations. The ladies were super nice and welcoming. We will definitely be back!! Thank you!!
