Trainers and dog parks help dogs stay calm, social and easy to handle, which makes grooming visits go smoothly. Dog trainers teach puppy classes, basic and advanced obedience, leash manners and agility, in group classes, private lessons or board-and-train programs; certified behaviorists work on fear, aggression and separation anxiety, often alongside a vet; and dog parks give dogs a fenced, off-leash place to run and meet other dogs.

Nottingham is in Maryland, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Nottingham follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My dog absolutely loves going here for! The staff is caring, professional, and it's clear they genuinely love what they do. A special shoutout to Evan—he's been amazing with my dog. You can tell he really takes the time to build trust with them. My dog absolutely LOVES Evan! It's such a great feeling knowing my dog is in such good hands. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog trainer.

Whenever I need to board my now 1 year old Cavalier King Charles pup, Scarlett K9 is my go to place. This is a small owner-operator business, so I try to book well in advance to ensure availability. Evan, the owner is also a dog trainer, so I trust that he knows how to handle dogs. Booking and payment are easily done through an app. And if I have any questions or concerns, I can message through the same app and Evan replies in a timely manner. I have used his boarding services since my puppy was 5 months old. I feel that she is safe and well cared for when with Evan. Also, I feel better leaving her at a place where there is someone available on premises overnight. I would recommend Scarlett K9 if you are looking for a reasonably priced, small “homey” place to board your dog.

Fiona loves going over to see Scarlet and Evan for daycare and boarding, he is so good with her. She is an English Bulldog who is very stubborn, bossy and loves to chew. We plan on getting some her some Proper girl training soon, Manners and listening skills are important to our family. We trust Evan with our princess and I am so thankful that we found him.

My dog Roscoe went to the 2 week board and train. It was truly the best thing for him as he struggled with meeting new people and leash reactivity. He has improved drastically since we started training with Scarlet K9. We can now safely have him around family and friends along with taking him on loose leash walks. Evan was very responsive and attentive when it came to updates and questions. I would recommend Scarlet K9 to anyone!

Our experience with Evan at Scarlet K9 was the best! From the very moment we reached out about dog training, Evan was extremely responsive and generous with his time even before we committed to his program. He helped us adjust our expectations of our newly adopted puppy, answered our questions, and provided recommendations. Evan is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about each dog he works with, it is evident that he wants the best for dogs and their families. Training with Evan was one of the best investments we’ve made and we’re so happy to have a sweet puppy who is of course energetic, but who is also calm and able to adapt to and handle new experiences. Thank you, Scarlet K9!
