I had a very disappointing experience at Royal Farms. The cashier was extremely rude and raised her voice at me when the self-checkout machine froze during my transaction. Despite the issue being with the machine, she refused to assist me and instead told me to start my order over, without offering any help or guidance. This interaction took place in front of several other customers, which was both embarrassing and unprofessional. As a result, I had to re-enter the line and wait again, significantly increasing the time it took to receive my food. Additionally, there appeared to be only one employee preparing food during a busy afternoon, with at least eight orders ahead of mine. The service was very slow, and there seemed to be little regard for customers’ time. Overall, the experience was frustrating due to the lack of customer service, organization, and efficiency.

I always come in during peak hours and the team here does a fantastic job to make everyone feel welcomed no matter how busy they are. Huge props to the kitchen staff and cashiers for always remembering me, greeting me with a “Good to see you again.” A five star store.

Start your day here and you just might have a better day. Customer facing jobs are tough, especially if you care. I’ve had plenty of them in my life. I know this and while I don’t expect that my trips to the gas station convenience store is going to be a customer service masterclass every time, I do sort of judge when service doesn’t meet a minimum standard. In fact, I don’t do business with people that take my business for granted. Recently, I took notice of a new addition to the team here at RoFo. His name is Kahea (I think) and truly he’s a standard for all customer facing employees. The genuine and warm smile, the thoughtful interactions (short, sweet and professional), unwavering warmth and kindness. It’s the sort of interaction that perhaps you didn’t know you needed but go back because of it. For such a young man the dedication to his role that he shows is extremely rare. The best part is that he probably doesn’t even have to try very hard. The authenticity of his personality can be felt from the door. I had a great experience at the Royal farms in Columbia, MD. The store was very clean, organized, and well maintained, with noticeably better vibe and atmosphere than many other Royal Farms locations I’ve visited. It looked quite busy and could use some extra help, but the team still provided great customer service. The store manager even stepped in and checked me out at the register, which shows strong leadership and commitment to customers. Really impressive location-keep up the great work!
