In Spokane, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Washington, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

I brought my collie to River City Grooming twice so far. They did a very professional job, bathing and more. Lassie came home beautifully soft, looking show ready. She loves going there as well. The groomers love the dogs and you can tell by the dogs being so happy there. Highly recommend this groomer. I will definitely be returning there for all my grooming needs. A1 for sure.

Andrea at River City Grooming is amazing! She made our fur baby's nail trim a breeze, even for our nervous pup. She explained everything and gave great tips to my kiddo. Highly recommend her to all nervous fur parents and pups! 🐾🐶

I've only gone once so far, but River City was absolutely amazing! I ended up being a bit late due to directional issues and all of the staff were so kind. What got me the most was that my dog, who has had previous grooming trauma, was completely relaxed by the end of her appointment, like a completely different dog. It was the first time I had seen her so calm at an appointment since it became a huge trigger for her. They asked if me being with her would help, and I was absolutely willing to stand there with her to make her feel more comfortable. I'm just so, so grateful and hopeful that this means we're on a path to not being so fearful about grooming time. They were so gentle with her, even when she was freaking out a bit. The services were a great price as well. Thank you so much!

Gabi and Randi have been absolute gems for me and my old French Bulldog. I let my dog’s nails get too long and had so much anxiety about getting them cut. Both Randi and Gabi made the process so smooth and easy, I have no reservations now. They were kind, quick, and so skilled. For 10 bucks for a walk-in nail trim, too, this place with those gals can’t be beat. Thank you Randi and Gabi!

Absolutely amazing! I brought 2 shorter haired huskies here and they did a phenomenal job. One of our little ladies is a very timid shy girl and they assured me they went slow because it was her first time, they wanted her to get used to the process. Im also super glad they kept our girls together, as the timid one feels safer with her big sister near. Both of our girls were super happy! They smell amazing and are SO soft! Will definitely be a regular here.
