Purrvana Chicago

Previously we have used the hotel from a major pet chain. It was fine. But.... This is such a difference! The room is huge compared to the other place! Both of our cats had plenty of room to move around. They were fed per our instructions, played with and visited every day which we could see on the webcam in their room. One of our cats is just 7 / 8 months old (looks full grown but still a kitten) is very timid around new people and would hide, but they still reached out to pet him and said he would purr (he has a loud purr). They really like taking care of their guests! Thank you so much!

This place is amazing! I had a 10-day vacation, which is the longest I’ve ever left my cat, and was really worried about not securing enough friends to look after him. Purrvana came to the rescue and wow, they are great. My little guy got pampered and I got to enjoy my vacation. Special shout out to Matt who works there; he was very patient and proactive in communication with helping me plan pick up after my travels.

My cat had just had surgery and I had to travel for work. He needed meds three times a day. My cat is 12 and had never been boarded before. What an amazing place. I am so glad that I found Purrvana! He was so well-taken care of. There was a camera in his room and I could see him at all times. The staff is amazing and answered all of my questions and put my mind at ease. I learned that it's hard to find medical boarding in the city and I'm so thankful that Purrvana is an option whether for medical boarding or regular boarding. I highly recommend Purrvana. 5 stars.

Purrvana has quite literally saved the temperament of my cat, Namaki, and has increased her quality of life in a way I sincerely did not think possible. Namaki is a *very spicy* cat, who has a hard time being touched or trusting new people, especially when water is involved. She unfortunately has a condition called “stud tail,” and that, combined with some severe trauma she has from before we adopted her, makes touching her back and tail almost impossible, and would agitate her to the point of constantly being cranky and on edge. After several unsuccessful attempts to handle her grooming at home, my wife and I were recommended Purrvana because of their experience handling spicy/more difficult cats, and wow did they deliver. Namak is always so happy after a groom, she even is able to get her nails clipped (something that was truly the furthest thing from possible before), and becomes the world’s cutest and softest fuzzball after her grooming appointments. Due to the success of her regular grooming, we were actually able to taper off and completely stop the psych meds that she was on to deal with her agitation, as they were almost entirely a result of the overstimulation she had from

Lauren is a miracle worker! She is so kind and knowledgeable about working with cats, and she gives the best cuts (even niche services) with my cats even strutting around proudly in their new comb cuts every time she pulls up outside my building. The game changer has truly been the “deshedding” treatment, and for other longhair cat owners…you know the pain lol. I have two Ragamuffins who have very fine hair that floats everywhere, and the difference in hair cleanup in my apartment has been ASTRONOMICAL! Plus, my kitties are able to rid themselves of dead hair that has escaped my 5 different combs. Moving to Chicago alone and having two cats has been a wild ride but Lauren and Purrvana has truly made my life so much easier. I’m a customer for life, and wouldn’t trust anyone else to handle my babies :).
