Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

Yorktown is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Yorktown follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

First time my 7 1/2 year old cat has ever been groomed. Thought it would take a minimum of 2 people to handle her. She can be feisty in some situations. One place told me she needed to be sedated before they could groom her. Purrocious was so informative to me ahead of time and really eased any of my apprehensions. My Baebae looks wonderful and she even seems happier!

We absolutely love Purrocious! Our persian has been coming here for several years and we have never had any issues. He does well with the groomers and they take very good care of him. The area is neat and clean and the workers are very friendly.

I had so much anxiety about getting my severely matted Cat off at precocious styles but it was a wonderful experience. Owner was very friendly and did a wonderful job on my baby. She was beautiful and happy to be home. Not a bad experience at all and I will definitely feedback.

First of all, I am extremely extremely pleased with Purrocious Styles. My senior Cat is 17 years old And we Were turned down several times from other pet grooming places because of his age and because I had explained he may be extremely frightened the only place that wanted to help us was Purrocious Styles in Yorktown, Virginia. From the very beginning, they showed genuine concern and helping me get my cat the grooming he deserved since he is He no longer groomed himself like he used to so he was matted. They did an excellent job on him. He is clean and comfortable. I will never take my Cat Anywhere else other than Purrocious Styles. I am very thankful in my cat Sampson Looks and feels so much better. I highly highly recommend these special people.!!!

Sorry this is so long!!! Today I brought in my handsome boy, his name is Miso. He’s a dollface Persian, so his hair is on the longer side and he does shed like crazy. Before coming here he was groomed at another place and unfortunately we had a terrible experience. My vet had recommended Purrocious Styles, and said they were a cat only grooming company. I made my appointment, and they asked questions about his breed, allergies, anything quirky about him etc. I had booked a Friday morning appointment and they were even able to accommodate me switching dates. They were very communicative, friendly and helpful. I had explained how bad his last grooming experience was, and the owner LaDean was shocked and I felt she seemed sympathetic towards my situation and Miso’s experience. She assured me they would take their time, and he would be okay. I did mention he hates being bathed lol. When I went to pick up Miso he was very happy, I went to pet him and instantly he started purring and closing his eyes slowly (if you’re a cat mom/dad you know right away when your baby is happy vs. sad or upset). I felt so relieved, LaDean said he did amazing, he was so sweet and chill (his normal tempe
