10/10 would recommend this school to anyone! I just finished the 6-week Game Head and Mammal course, and it was an incredible learning experience that gave me the knowledge and confidence to start my own taxidermy business. I’ve said it many times, but I truly couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Tiny was patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to work with every student, no matter their experience level. He made staying on-site enjoyable, and the housing was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed to cook my own meals throughout the course. There was never a dull moment in the Pro Mount shop. If you’re thinking about getting into taxidermy or improving your skills, I highly recommend this school. It was worth every minute.

I attended the 4 week bird course at Promount Taxidermy School in March 2026. I went into the course with almost zero experience and knowledge. I didn’t even know how to sow. I left the school able to mount my own bird from beginning to end and troubleshoot along the way. I attached some photos of my solo birds within the month of leaving the school. During my course, I was joined by two other students, one being the instructor’s (Tiny) assistant, Liza. Both Tiny and Liza are fantastic people to work with. Both are very friendly and talented people. I cannot express enough how comfortable the environment was. I came from Wisconsin and have never been to Billings, MT prior to my schooling. I was new to the area and the people. I stayed on site in the apartment offered to students to rent. The room is all you need, a bed, tv, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster oven, ac unit, and heating unit. Bathroom/shower are also available in the shop. Tiny did a phenomenal job of respecting the space after hours to make sure I felt comfortable and safe. I also unfortunately had some car issues while I was attending and Tiny went above and beyond by helping me find a trust worthy mechanic and as

Pro Mount was a fantastic school to go to! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to go to taxidermy school I attended the 6- Week Game Head and Mammal course. I initially chose to attend Pro Mount for two reasons 1. Everything is provided in the tuition without hidden fees. 2. You get to keep all your work after. If I were to go to Pro Mount again, I would choose it for way more reasons than that! The atmosphere of the school, the quality of the instructor, the teaching style, and so much more. The environment is relaxed yet structured. Tiny provided an incredible learning environment for everyone in the class, no matter what their learning style was. I really appreciated that. He provides enough help to let you learn the skill without doing everything for you. You can ask him about different methods of how to do stuff and even if it's not his style or what he does he'll still answer your questions on it. Honestly, you could ask him about anything and he'll answer your questions! You walk out of the class having learned so much, with the basic knowledge and skills to propel you as far as you want to go in your taxidermy endeavors. Just like everything in life, you will get out

A legitimate school of taxidermy… Valuable knowledge and tools gained, the supportive and relaxed atmosphere, direct involvement, and the friendships formed. This experience has been life changing and will always resonate in me. Thank you, Tiny, for sharing your wisdom, building my confidence, and valuable friendship. 5 weeks down, 1 to go, A life skill to grow 🤟🏽

Came up from Las Vegas to take the game head/mammal course. Tiny is a great teacher and the environment was so nice. Small class made it personal with lots of one on one instruction if needed. I always felt respected and listened to. As a younger woman, I really recommend pro mount. You will never feel out of place at all regardless of age or gender. I feel ready to start my own taxidermy business after taking this class and Tiny is alway willing to answer my questions even after I got home. -Sarena (Fang and Bone Taxidermy, Las Vegas, NV)
