In San Francisco, look for trainers who use reward-based methods and hold a certification such as CPDT-KA, and ask what a course includes and how many dogs are in a class. Many groomers suggest getting puppies used to brushing, nail trims and having their paws handled early. Dog parks across California usually require current vaccinations and a license tag, and some need a membership or key fob. Check the listing for hours, address and Google rating.

Hours are published for 1 day a week. Typical hours are 10 AM–8 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (415) 774-6126. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

It has a Google rating of 5.0 out of 5, though from only 1 reviews so far, so treat the score as an early indication rather than a verdict.

San Francisco is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Francisco is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.
