PetSmart

PetSmart is conveniently in Hamburg Shopping Center. It's your go-to place to find most everything your pet needs; it matters not if it is a reptile, bird, or your furry friend, they have your supplies. You can even adopt your next family member there. How great is this place?

My young daughter needed a small hamster box for a science project. As we were checking out, she worked up the courage to ask the cashier if she could have one of The hamster boxes for her project The cashier wasn't sure, so she asked to cashier behind her, who said no because it has their branding on it. I offered; to pay for it, and she just said no. My child was really let down. Seemed like a very capricious and arbitrary decision not to help her out with her science project by providing a little hamster box, and that I offered to pay for. And I would think that having the PetSmart branding would be a positive aspect of giving her the box. Really disappointing from PetSmart.

I absolutely love the employees, they are so very sweet and so nice. I interact with them weekly. Petsmarts fish policy is not it. They went feom fish returns 30 daus to 14. I just lost $30 for two Koi fish, which were a gift for my Anniversary. They died today, I brought them back tonight and they stated since you bought them on the 23rd we cannot refund you. Ok, if they would have passed on the 6th I would have brought them here. It is 3 days and ypu cannot honor it. I buy constantly from here, but, it wont be fish anymore just my grooming and dog items.

i’ve came to this petsmart for about 7 years now and every single time i have come to get crickets for my gecko it is about a 30-45 minute wait even after asking a worker for help. everyone is super nice so thats not a problem but when i have to make atleast an hour in my day just to get crickets for my gecko it can be frustrating since it’s supposed to be fast and easy.

As a pup mom of two this is a go to one stop shop. I have used their grooming as well as purchased many items from the store. I have not used the vet located inside the store so no comments. The do have a satellite adoption center for Lexington Humane Society (at the back) as well as the Paris Animal Shelter (on the right side of the store. (Days depending) They also have some unique animals such as birds and reptiles. Service is always friendly and they have reasonable prices. I have volunteered at the Lexington Humane Society Satellite (Everyday Adoption Center at PetSmart in Hamburg) in the store and the employees were obviously very caring and loving towards the animals. Personal comment: Adopt don't shop.
