​Preparing a pet for a move—especially a transitional jump to a college off-campus apartment—can be surprisingly stressful. With a checklist in hand for my son’s cat, I headed into the PetSmart on Highway 98 in Hattiesburg, and overall, it was an easy, efficient, and well-organized shopping run. ​Selection & Layout ​The feline section at this location is remarkably well-stocked. Since space efficiency is everything for a college living setup, I was specifically looking for compact yet functional items: ​Litter Box: They had a broad range of styles, from basic open pans to top-entry and enclosed privacy boxes. I managed to find a high-walled, compact covered option that will keep litter scatter to a minimum in a smaller room. ​Food & Water Bowls: The feeding aisle had plenty of options. I grabbed a pair of shallow, weighted stainless steel bowls with non-slip rubber bases—ideal for preventing spills on carpeted floor space. ​Toys: The interactive toy selection was a highlight. I picked up a mix of teaser wands, plush catnip mice, and a few self-play track toys to help keep the cat entertained while my son is out at classes. ​Atmosphere & Customer Support ​The store was clean, bright

I have waited a couple months to write this review to see if the issue improved. We took our American Eskimo to the grooming services offered at PetSmart. He has fine hair and sheds a lot, so his coat requires extra special care. We requested a light trim around his butt and male parts. Instead of following instructions, the employees completely shaved large boxes around each area. Upon pickup, they informed me he was nervous, which is unlike him, so I should had already been suspicious but they required payment before they brought him out. Makes perfect sense, because I cannot imagine who would pay for this hack job! Regardless, months have passed, and these areas they havcked still have not grown back appropriately; essentially ruining parts of his coat. There are cheaper and far better groomers in the Hub City (Grooming), who will not charge over $100 for crap work.

We adopted our 2 month old kitten from here. They must’ve trained him very well, because he came so well behaved and hasn’t given us a single problem. The employees were so kind and helpful with the adoption process. Highly recommend

I booked a grooming appointment here for my little shih tzu and was assigned to Amber. She did an absolutely outstanding job... maybe the best haircut we've ever had! I know my dog is feisty and difficult and she was nervous to begin with. But when I checked up on them, she was calm as can be. Amber said she was well behaved the whole time and would be happy to see us again. I gave her a very well deserved tip after that and I hope we can come back and see her again.

I’ve taken my dog to the groomers for over six years and never had a complaint until today. Her haircut was HORRIBLE!! I took her back to PETSMART and I initially had issues with the groomer, Suzanna H, who cut her hair and REFUSED to correct it! However another groomer, Amber A., who was extremely nice, and the store manager, who was very nice and helpful, corrected the issue and made it right. Thank you!!
