Sarah E. 7 months ago
I brought my maltipoo to PetSmart in Newington to be bathed, trimmed, and groomed. I dropped him off at 9:00am, and he wasn’t finished until 2:00pm. I was very clear with Sarah, the groomer, what I wanted, how much length to trim, and what my dog’s face should look like. I shared photos of what I wanted and Sarah seemed to understand. When I picked up my dog, Sarah came out and immediately accused me of not properly brushing my dog. She was dishonest and said he was filled with mats, which was untrue, and physically impossible because my dog has a silky undercoat and does not have tight, curly hair/fur. Not only that, but I brush my dog daily with an anti-matting/tangling brush, I always check for mats, and I know my dog did not have any mats prior to dropping him off at PetSmart. Sarah even “inspected” my dog when I dropped him off - looking at his fur, checking his teeth, etc., so she knew there weren’t any mats. When I explained this all to Sarah when I picked up my dog, she got extremely agitated and stormed off. When my dog was finally brought to me, he had been shaved down to his skin. His fur looked very choppy, and he didn’t even look remotely like the same dog I dropped of

Convenient. What more can you say about a big box type pet supply chain?
