I had an extremely poor experience from a company that claims to do “anything” for pets. My dog was denied a stay at the pet hotel because the staff didn’t want to administer her medication and because she had a Lipoma on her body that has been there for years. She’s 15. She went to the vet the week before and there were no concerns about her lump.The PetSmart groomer also had no concerns about her lipoma. She has stayed there plenty of times with her lipoma. Horrible service from Edwin who kept trying to refuse me service even before I got there because my pet needed medications administered. Now I know I cannot ever count on the Pet Hotel. Lucky for me I have a family member who can watch my dog but other Pet Owners may not be so lucky and could have been put in a real bind. I will never book here again.

Rusty needs to learn to serve people in the manner they came in not per her convenience. I waited patiently for her to finish serving a customer and then because I wanted a specific fish that was difficult for her to get. She decided to bump me to service a customer that was also waiting in line before me. That means I waited even longer for the person who arrived after me. Just off of her convenience. Meanwhile, I’m waiting here with my daughter. We are getting restless and very patient. Let’s do better. Let’s be pet”smart” !!!

UPDATE: This is my second poor experience at this location and with the same Grooming person (REN). Just so unfriendly and uncooperative. They can’t handle nail trim walkins (during the middle of the day on a weekday). It would have been real easy for her to take 5 mins and take care of my dog. No apologies for the wait. Just rudeness and snarkiness. No thanks. I won’t be returning now REVIEW #1: FYI even though Google AND their phone line says grooming is open until 9pm, that is untrue. They close at 6pm. Got there at 5:55pm for a nail trim and was turned away. Staff unfriendly.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We boarded our dog, Steve-o, at this PetSmart Pet Hotel while traveling out of state for a family emergency. Instead of providing care, the store manager called claiming she was a “danger” to the staff, implying she had bitten someone. That was not true. She hadn’t harmed anyone. She was simply scared and growling, as dogs with anxiety often do. Thankfully, our friend, who has years of experience in animal shelters, was able to pick her up. He found her terrified, cowering in the corner of her kennel. Staff made no attempt to comfort her, refused to get down to her level, and clearly had no idea how to work with anxious dogs. The environment was loud and chaotic with one person handling over 20 dogs. Steve-o immediately relieved herself outside, suggesting she hadn’t been let out at all. We trusted PetSmart to care for her. Instead, they traumatized her and left us scrambling during an already painful time. We filed a complaint, provided audio and photo evidence and never received a response. That silence says everything. Do not board your pet here. I genuinely expected better from a company like PetSmart, but our experience at this location was flat-out unacceptable. When I picked up my dog, he had dried poop still stuck to his behind. That’s not just laziness it’s unhygienic and completely inexcusable for a facility that’s supposed to provide care and grooming. It was obvious no one had taken the time to properly clean him, and I could literally see the filth coming off when I had to wash him myself at home. Even worse, my dog who is normally very friendly, playful, and full of energy came back completely disengaged and withdrawn. He loves daycare and being around people, so for him to act so off and unusually clingy afterward was alarming. It honestly made me question how he was treated during his stay. On top of all that, I sent him with toys, his blanket, and food none of which were returned when my mom picked him up. That’s careless and disrespectful. I had to drive another 40 minutes just to pick them up. I don’t write negative reviews just to complain, but when you hand over a member of your family to people who are paid to care for them, you expect a basic level of competence and compassion.
