I had an excellent experience with Pets Come First. I was interested in adopting a 10 yo Chocolate Lab. I received an email from a volunteer that shared more details and pictures about him. I put my application in, got approved, and made an appointment to drive 3 hours to adopt my new baby. All went smooth and thorough on our meet and greet and additional updates. The vet work done was fantastic and the vet documentation was organized. Highly recommend, kudos to the team, volunteers, and foster homes.

My mom adopted a puppy from here. The process seemed very straightforward and easy for her. The staff were very kind and seemed like they cared about the animals there. The pup was brought home with a huge bag of goodies to get her started with taking her home. Would definitely recommend if anyone was interested in adopting!!

The staff are very nice, a good selection of pets who need adopted. I’ve adopted there two times. They really care about the pet getting a new home. They make it easy to qualify to adopt. I’ve recommend Pets Come First for years. I would adopt every animal if I could, just to show them the loving home they all deserve. Just remember the pet you see in a humane society/rescue is not the personality of that animal. The true personality comes out when they are relaxed, loved, most of all feel safe with full bellies. It takes time, some takes days, weeks some even months.

For my fellow animal lovers, it's known how it tugs at your heart badly, to come to a shelter and see (feel) the excitement and hopefulness of all of the animals who want nothing more than for you to stop at their cage and "choose them" to take home... However, I will say with 100% certainty, that the staff at Pets Come First not only work their butts off to keep the animals happy, but most definitely the people that visit. At the end of the day, the more animals you can help give a healthy, loving home to, is what it's all about. And that's just what they did for my daughter and I. They not only made our day/week/month, but they made the next *15 years* with our new family member, and we cannot thank you all enough. From my heart to my tears, thank you (especially to Deb, for putting up with my crazy unpredictable schedule)
