Im so Grateful that pet land offer different variety of fur babies for people to love and care for and offer payment plans. You get to visit one on one with the fur babies. Ive gotten 3 dogs from petland Gizmo that passed away in 2015 just broke my heart .then when I was ready went to petland taz a Pekingese caught my heart. Then I went window shopping again and then there was cupcake. She was just 2 lb. So adorable!. She went home she got sick shortly after and they covered all the bills. Sadly to say cupcake passed away February of 2026 she had cushions disease. She was the most loving dog ever put everyone before her waited last. when she birth brownie and Maple. She was a good mother when brownie would get her little Pekingese attitude cupcake would gently take her paw and hold her down. Cupcake would love anybody and everybody. She was one of those dogs that loves unconditional that I ever seen in my life and put everybody first all the other dogs. I would rate petland 20 out of 20 but they only give five stars. They offer variety of pets and programs to fit everybody's need to have fur babies. I'm looking forward to getting another Fur babies shih Tzu

Wonderful experience getting our puppy. I had done a lot of research prior on the breed and she had tips on holding her and everything. You could tell the workers loved her as much as we did. We did recently visit the store so they could see her. We had traveled 2 hours to get her to begin with but all worth it. She loved seeing some of the workers!

I came in to get supplies for my hamster and the staff was very welcoming. I had my child with me and the staff kept her very occupied well I was trying to find the things I needed. They let her pet/meet multiple of their puppies and animals like the ferret and other hamsters. Definitely a place I would recommend if you want a good experience not only for you but your children as well!

Wow. Life changing. We visited the Iowa City Petland in December 2025. The employees were all friendly and helpful. We met two managers over two separate visits, and they were both friendly and patiently answered all of our questions. The puppies are cute. We spent time with three different puppies. What was really the most impactful part of our visit is how well adjusted each of the puppies were in their personalities and behavior. Very unexpected. Their cheerfulness and friendly demanor is probably due to the nice employees having positive interactions, as well as the wide variety of customers coming to visit them: old, young, rural, urban, etc. The store had a steady flow of customers who appeared to be seasoned pet owners as well as famlies with children. The puppies' regular exposure to a variety of people seemed to give them a broader and deeper socialization. In a moment, if you look around the store, you can see the environment of positivity created by the employees, customers, and skilled managers. We ended up taking a puppy home after our first visit. On our second visit to the store, the puppy came with us, was happy to be there, and took time to greet his old puppy frie
