In Torrance, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in California, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

Torrance is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Torrance is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. I wish I had received the same level of professionalism and punctuality from Michael that people were praising him for four to two years ago. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have been quite the opposite. Michael has been very unreliable, frequently rescheduling at the last minute. While he did a fantastic job grooming my dogs, I have had issues with overcharging. Despite this, I have still paid and even given him a tip for his gas, even though I cannot confirm the extra charges. I have given him multiple chances due to his small business, but I cannot overlook his repeated last-minute cancellations and no-shows. Even though he has cited family emergencies as the reason, I believe he should communicate better with his clients. Today was the final straw. After confirming our appointment, he rescheduled for an hour more and never showed up. After not hearing back from him an hour later, I called it a day and told him we no longer needed his services. He called me, stating he had a family emergency, so he was rescheduling. All I could hear was voices in the background, as if he were at home, which tells me he was never on the road driving to come to our appointment. I have decided

Michael always does an amazing job with my lil Pomeranian puppy. We have been using them for over 2 years. Pet LA grooming is always very professional and is very gentle and caring of my dog, Nipsey. I love how he cuts my dogs hair. Very clean cut. Keep up the good work and see you in a few weeks. ❤️👌🎉

Highly recommend PETLA Mobile Grooming. I have 3 feisty female chihuahuas and they love Michael. The way he trims the girls hair and nails makes them look way cuter then they actually do lol! Michael uses quality products that get my girls so fresh, clean and happy until our next session! PETLA Mobile Grooming is our go to always.

Had the pleasure of having Michael and his assistant come by my house today to have my daughters fur babies groomed. They were in need of pampering ASAP. I called Michael and he already had an appointment in my area but was able to make the time to come by and take care of our babies. They got a manager cut, and was well taken care of today. I would definitely call Michael back for more service. And definitely recommend PetLa: thank you Michael I’m very happy to see our babies all clean and pretty again. 😊
