Waltham is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Waltham is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Do not place a pickup order from petco. I ordered a couple of items online to claim the 10% off advertised on the website, they cancelled the item, told that they don’t have it. I checked the store to find a replacement and found the one I ordered!! This is not the first time, every-time I place a pickup order, they cancel an item and say they don’t have when it’s right on the shelf. When I buy the same thing in store costs me extra bucks, what’s the point of being advertised place a pickup for 10%off. Doesn’t matter 10% off or less, why do wrong advertising? I placed 3 items online and my tax was 4$, when I buy one item in-store the tax is 4$! Stop stealing money! A total waste. Shouldn’t be running stores when you can’t deliver what you advertise!

They chose to tell me they wouldn't sell me any fish because they were short-staffed—even though they were standing at the register doing nothing, with my products already in my hand—simply because they couldn't be bothered to move to get them for me.

Petco emailed me saying I'd earned two $5 coupons. "Come on down and spend them!" So I did. They were having a tank sale. Despite the mixed reviews on the Imagitarium line, I figured a 2.5-gallon rimmed tank was low-risk. How bad could it be? Laughably bad. I got it home, set it on a level stand, and the frame was so badly warped it couldn't get all four corners on the surface at the same time. I'd heard about issues with the rimless Imagitariums, but if they can't manufacture a 2.5-gallon rimmed tank correctly, that's a different problem entirely. Went back to exchange it. The employee explained they couldn't do an exchange, that I'd have to return it and repurchase. Fine, no problem. Except the return didn't credit back the $10 in store coupons I'd used. The only reason I came in at all was because Petco emailed me saying I had $10 expiring soon. I used that money on one of their own products, which turned out to be defective, and now the $10 just evaporates! That's not a policy, that's a trap. For what it's worth, the staff here have always been friendly and knowledgeable. This isn't about them. It's about a corporate policy that punishes customers for using in

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this Petco location and the incredible team here — especially Robin (Assistant Manager) and Kathy (General Manager). We recently adopted our bird, Tilly, who came with the 30-day health guarantee. Shortly after bringing her home, I noticed she had an upset stomach and immediately called the store. Robin answered and patiently walked me through what can be normal when bringing a new bird home vs. what to watch for. She encouraged me to call back if things didn’t improve, which gave me so much reassurance! A couple days later, I still wasn’t comfortable, so they advised me to bring Tilly in. When I arrived, Kathy was there and personally explained the entire process and assured me Tilly would be well cared for. And she meant it. Kathy actually took Tilly to the vet herself the same day! Throughout the entire time Tilly was being monitored, I received consistent updates. Anytime I called, both Robin and Kathy were incredibly kind, patient, and reassuring. Our family missed Tilly terribly, but we truly felt she was in the best possible hands. They didn’t just follow policy — they genuinely cared. You can tell they love their animals and

I’m bad with names, but the girl who took care of my buddy Wesley once again did a great job. I promise I’ll remember your name for the next review even if I have to write it down on my hand lol. Wesley looked really great. I don’t know what was up with him last month, but he wouldn’t let her do his nails, but they were really long and she got them done this time, she even gave me the option to come in anytime I wanted before his next appointment to get his nails done, but I didn’t mind waiting. Neither did he. Most places I go he’s not too reluctant when I handover the leash but he loves it there so I know he’s being treated very well. Pretty much 75 bucks give or take a couple of dollars not including a tip. He gets done from nose to tail, back to nails and everywhere in between and he’s always is looking great and happy. That includes his ears, teeth brushed his butt glands, and all that stuff. Thank you. The photo I use was just taken now, he was at Petco yesterday afternoon right around this time so this is 24 hours after his time there. He looks so good. He looked even better when he had his little bandanna on lol should’ve seen it. February 2, update on a new appointment.
