I had to do a return that I purchased online. The cashier, Dani, looked and acted drunk. She was apparently so tired that she even put her head down on the counter while waiting for the computer to pull up the information. I asked if it would go back on the card and she said it should. I said store credit is fine also. Then she mumbled that I got it free with my rewards. I repeated that it was a return, not a purchase. This led to even more confusion, so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager did not come up for a full 15 to 20 minutes. I finally received my dtore credit and did not even receive an apology or sorry for the mistake from the manager. Really horrible customer service and it's obvious the manager could care less which is why the associates feel it is ok to sleep while taking care of customers...

I had gone in to purchase some fish food and was unsure about which would best benefit the fish in my aquarium. The gentleman Petco associate tending the fish department was very informative, educational, as well as very empathetic to my budget maximum that I advised him of. In addition, up at the register were also 2 very welcoming and attentive Petco associates. In closing, my experience at your Totowa location was very, very smooth, effortless, as well as pleasant, and above all, memorable. I'd like to thank those petco associates for really making my visit a great experience! Bravo! Thank you, Anthony 🫧🐠

The staff were the rudest people I’ve ever encountered, I went there to buy a betta fish for my daughter , we had a filtered tank running for two weeks prior to this due to us having knowledge of taking care of fish prior , I explained this to the staff and he walked away, he than went to who I assume is the manager and he starts getting loud and rude with me saying what am I doing buying a plastic tank “which was purchased to keep the fish in on the ride home so my daughter wouldn’t mess with him” he than continues to say well he said you told him you planned to keep the fish in that for the rest of his life which was never said, I told him that was false and We can have that guy come back to clear up confusion , he then huffs rolls his eyes at me and walks away.. all this over a betta fish. Anyways here’s my betta fish THRIVING after they told me he would die before having him a whole 24hrs because I wasn’t going to treat him right.. this seems like a happy fish to me!

The rep that attended me I didn’t catch his name just remember he had a big curly fro and was Spanish. He was busy but he helped everyone, answered all questions and followed up to see if we needed additional service. He showed extraordinary customer service. I hope he’s there next time I go. He was amazing I hope he’s gets a raise or something lol

I am back 2 months later after my last review and still your mice are not cared for. There is something really wrong with your store and the way Petco treats mice. This time after all the habitats had been cared for there is no FOOD for the mice. Poop in the dish and nothing to eat. It is sickening how this company controls almost all of the small animal sales across the country and you abuse them constantly. No difference made here. Why would I want to speak to anyone in management at this store. You are abusing animals. You do not even understand that. When people buy your mice they die shortly after from lack of nutrition and proper care. I have lost many mice shortly after getting them from Petco because of your neglect and it never changes. Petco must train their employees to be cruel because it is at every Petco I visit. No food?! You sell pets that die right away and miserable while in your care. It is animal abuse. -‐‐------------------------------- Every Petco I have visited treats the mice poorly.
