Springfield is in Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. It has been a while since the last time I was in Petco due to several issues with the Staffing. However, I had to pick up some fish food and they were right next to where I was so I stopped in. There are still some staffing issues at the Springfield, OR location but at least they were definitely more professional this time around but still need some more training. I am hoping that the next time I stop in things will improve further because so far they are on the right track.

I waited in line for a couple minutes and saw a staff talking to customers around the fish tank. I asked if there was anyone at the registers and he said it's just him and he will be with me shortly and I need to wait. He continued to show them around, walking the halls showing him other things. Two more people came in line looking around for someone at the register. One person in the line ultimately left and when I asked for the manager to kindly explain that someone should always be at the register and it's a priority, I was hoping to just have a healthy conversation about it but she backed him up saying we are to wait in line for when he's done showing people around . I think the appropriate thing to do is tell the people on the floor there are a couple people at the register and he will be right back to help them. Since the management agreed with his method I felt the need to leave a review due to customer service issues. Thank you

not sure if your hours are wrong or what, but you guys still had your doors closed at 10 when you’re supposed to open at 9, atleast that’s what it says on google and the front of your store. also have been consistently getting double charged for bulk items lately which is a bit frustrating on my end, i understand people make mistakes and usually you guys are great but lately my experience has been otherwise. maybe i’m just bitter because i was on a time crunch but i hope your hours get updated :(

I got a good deal on my fish, but the lights were all off by the tanks so you can’t see anything that’s in the tanks, and we even saw a few “floaters”! And WHY are the Bettas so expensive? There was a few on the cheaper end ($3-$5) but most of the ones there were babies and were $25+!! And they looked like they were sickly/dying/struggling to breathe/etc. You would think they would take better care of their fish and/or put them on SALE, so they can at least go to a good home! This is my second bad experience at one of your stores. I may not be back! :(
