I stopped into the Cedar Rapids Petco yesterday, and was so surprised to see they renovated the entire fish area! It was SO bright and clean and totally changed the whole look of the store. Before that area was so dark and gloomy. I started talking with Noah. Noah was SO helpful and kind when I had a million questions about where to even start with a beta fish.

I was going out of town for a week on Ragbrai but couldn't take my Best four legged buddy. My 3 year old dog Rocket and I have been together every day for 3 years since he was seven weeks old. He is Mama's Good Boy but he has a bad habit of wriggling out of his collar, which scared me since he would have to stay with a sitter for the week. I have tried tons of different styles, made of different materials and the little stinker still manages to escape! So I decided to stop by Petco and ask some advice from the staff what might keep my boy safe while I was out of town. It was pretty busy the evening I stopped in, but I was able to find an employee willing to help me out quite readily. Of course I brought rocket with me, he Loves to go there! He is a total show off so people fuss over him and he adores the attention. Besides, I wanted them to help me fit the collar properly to his neck, if we found a new option. The young lady who helped me was very pleasant, patient and kind and listened to my issue. She was very professional and had some ideas right away. Sales person was very knowledgeable about the small pet I was getting. He answered all my questions. The check out person was super friendly overall I had a great experience

Went for the Vetco immunizations, and vet visit. Then got Clarabelle's nails done. Everyone there is so nice and calm with my dog...

A few days ago I had an exceptionally positive experience at this Petco. I stop in several times a year, mostly to check out the aquariums. The lady who is usually there ( I will keep her privacy), is always polite and knowledgeable. This particular day, she expertly caught 3 of the exact fish that I was looking at, and then she spotted a fourth fish with an interesting color pattern. And she said, "You want this one.", and who am I to argue, because she was absolutely right. I went to the front of the store to check out. The young lady at the register was helping an older gentleman with either removing or attaching a pet tag to a collar. The gentleman was so happy that she was helping him do this. He complimented her. She said "I like to provide excellent customer service!", as friendly as can be. Her cheerful attitude continued and I walked out, feeling like I had a momentary brush with authentic human kindness. How often do you get that these days?
