Molly is so great with my dog! My dog can get scared super easily and is afraid of new places but Molly has such a way with her. I really appreciate all she does!

The grooming techs at the Alpine location are experienced and appreciate see the same people each time I bring my bot in for a nice bath and nail trim.

I was a loyal Petco customer for over five years and had consistently positive experiences until a horrific grooming incident that Petco has still failed to address months later. Several months ago, I brought my dog in for a routine grooming appointment. Within 48 hours, he developed a severe skin infection. Large clumps of hair began falling out, and the subcutaneous swelling became so extensive that he was unable to walk. I initially feared he had suffered a spinal injury due to significant dysmotility. He was urgently evaluated by our veterinarian, who diagnosed a deep skin infection with significant soft-tissue swelling. The swelling was so severe that there was concern for potential spinal compression, and we were advised to start laser therapy immediately. My dog required three weeks of intensive treatment, including laser therapy, anti-inflammatories, and a prolonged course of antibiotics to prevent spread of the infection. He was placed on strict bed rest due to the severity of his condition. The pain he endured was heartbreaking. I highly recommend the Petco Grooming Salon on Alpine Ave in Walker! Nikki, Pet Stylist, was friendly and caring and did a superb job. The staff were friendly, kind and truly caring. I was extremely impressed that the first time I met Nikki, the Pet Stylist, she was 100% knowledge about my dog and all of my physical concerns regarding him that I had put into his account!!! I have a 7 year old rescue dog who suffered severe injuries and neglect before I got him. Due to his past trauma, leaving him alone somewhere new makes him scared and nervous. Nikki and the other staff were amazing with my dog and made me feel comfortable leaving him with them. My dog had a bath & I paid extra for the Shed Release Basic and it was worth every penny! He left smelling so good, his fur was so clean, shiny and soft and his nails cut nice and short. The Shed Release worked miracles on his thick Shepherd undercoat! Can’t recommend it enough.

Niki is excellent!! She has groomed my corgi a few times now, and always does a great job. We only get her hair trimmed on her bum and her pads shaved, but it still makes a difference and she is super comfortable afterwards. She needs a good shed-release every season, so we take her here for that. I love how fluffy she is after her bath! I also have my chihuahua’s nails trimmed and buffed here, and all groomers get her nails nice and short. We have gone here for years and always have nice experiences.
