I think my groomers does a great job with grooming my dog. I have requested the same groomer over and over. I was told when I dropped my dog off that it would take 2 hours. I set appointments based on my busy schedule. If the grooming was going to take longer than 2 hours it would have been considerate to text the customer to tell them. After 3 and a half hours and not getting a text, I went back to the store. My dog was on the table but was not being attended. This concerned me because I know there are situations when dogs attempt to jump off the table while attached to a leash which could result in injuries or death. After the 3.5 hours I observed that my dog had not been groomed yet. My groomer told me it would be another 20 minutes and then she began to groom my dog. It took a total of 4 hours. It would have been okay if I had been told. I had scheduled my day around this grooming appointment. I had received several reminders about the appointment. I feel that the groomers may be taking other dogs (perhaps as walk-ins) during the appointment and that doesn’t make sense to me. If I have an appointment I would like my dog to have the groomers full attention.

Kerry (Johnson City, NY store) does a great job with my small elderly dog, Peanut, age 17. As she gets older she is a little touchy about being groomed. Kerry still does a great job and Peanut looks better when she is all done. Thank you Kerry! 😊

Makayla was wonderful with Clover! She did not seem overly stressed when I picked her up (this was her first time getting groomed by someone other than my little nail clips or baths). They were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions!

Kerry was not a welcoming professional employee of Petco. My friend and I were extremely taken back with her attitude. She said we contradicted our instructions on the grooming and style wanted for our fur baby " POODLE STYLE HAIR CUT" Kerry said "there was no such style". Soooo with that said the cut is uneven on her paws and legs and she appeared to be not happy when picked up. I am extremely dissatisfied. Kerry really didn't deserve a tip. But, I believe in gratuity when services are rendered, regardless. I wanted the last groomer, Amanda. She was very welcoming professional and eager to please. I was disappointed that Amanda was unavailable for the time I needed to book appointment. Our fur babies are family and want the very best care taking for her. I may consider not returning. My husband and I were absolutely blown away by Amanda’s professionalism, compassion, and sense of humor. She took the time to clearly explain everything that was going to be done and even showed us how she would help get our dog comfortable with being trimmed. This was our dog Harper’s first grooming experience, and Amanda truly put our minds at ease. It meant so much to us to see how patient and caring she was throughout the entire process.
