Petco Grooming

When I brought my dog in for a bath and poodle detangler treatment I was told her tail was matted. I’ve been to this grooming location a number of times, at longer intervals than this and my dog (a cavapoo) never had an issue with that even with longer hair. Additionally I inform the staff that the last time I brought her in, I told them only give my dog a scissor cut. Just like they did the time prior (which had my dog looking good and neat). Instead, she came out looking trimmer cut and not NEARLY as nice as the time before. There even little tufts of uncut/stray hair. And my dogs overall appearance wasn’t as nice. This time around I suggested that whatever matting they found was due to the poor quality of the most recent grooming. In my opinion the quality of this location has gone done. And being told it was a “training location” has not eased my mind, especially considering we are paying the standard rate for any of the services offered there. That said, there are a couple of groomers there that are nice and do good work. But overall I am disappointed. I even pointed out the stray tufts this time around and they didn’t even take care of this latest time!

My King Charles cavalier looks like a toddler took scissors to him, Deja the groomer butchered my fur baby. My Frenchie had a bath and "supposed to have gotten her ears cleaned! They still had a bad smell after all was said and done. I dropped them off at 8:45 the process took about 40min for paperwork and questions, request I wanted for my babies. They were out of there at 10:20 I thought that was quick for 2 dogs, baths, nails trimmed and buffed and ear cleaning, saying that to say' how good of a job could be done in such a short time. After all!, the way I got my babies back speaks for it self. Wouldn't recommend that Petco on sugar hollow in Danbury.

Huge thank you to Deja at Petco Grooming for doing such an amazing job with our golden doodle, Tia! She looked absolutely beautiful after her groom—clean, soft, and perfectly styled. Deja was professional, kind, and clearly took great care of her. We truly appreciate the attention and care she gave Tia. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this pet grooming location in Danbury. My dog, a 7-pound maltipoo who has always been friendly and well-behaved during grooming appointments, was scheduled with Mara. He has been groomed at multiple places before without any issues, so what happened here was very concerning. During the appointment, I received a call asking me to pick him up early because he was “attempting to bite repeatedly.” This is completely out of character for him. Naturally, I was worried and called to ask if he may have been hurt or handled too aggressively, but I was simply told that maybe he was having a “bad day.” When I picked him up, I was shocked by his condition. He had been shaved down so closely in several areas that you could see the pink of his skin, despite already having a short coat when he came in. He was not matted. At the same time, the grooming was incomplete. His face, feet, and other areas were left untouched. It looked rushed, uneven, and careless. To make matters worse, I was still charged the full $75 for a service that was clearly not completed properly. Based on my dog’s distressed behavior, which is highly unusual for him

We brought our girl Mia in for an early morning bath on Thursday. It's been quite a while since Mia's last grooming session at the store so we were a little nervous about the appointment, but the groomer we booked with, Anna, was really good with her. She was very kind and sweet to Mia (Us as well.), and she handled our dog very well. Even though my dog can feel anxious easily, I felt really confident leaving her there with Anna. I left the appointment feeling happy with the outcomes. Great experience for us and our dog, we hope to return for future appointments!
