I had recently come back to petco after a few years. The first time I left, the grooming just declined so much with my last dog it wasn't worth it. The pricing has always been a lot, the staff not very friendly. Anyway, after a few months of being back, this last visit staff were rude (they never have been really friendly to be honest) when I was buying dog food. I carried a 26 lb bag up front, seeing a manufacturers coupon on the third bag on the stack and signs that the specific dog food was on sale. The saleswoman took a picture of the bag, went back, and stated the coupon was for a different dog food. I didn't mind going back to get the right bag at all, but she stated "it's right here in the [new] picture if you don't believe me." I went back, grabbed the exact type but with the manufacturer's coupon on it. Her tone and bearing just reminded me why I had stopped going there. Do not recommend.

Store is nice and clean but the staff patience and friendliness can be spotty at times. I had a negative experience with Omar last night that really left a bad taste in my mouth due to lack of patience.

I’ve been coming to this petco as a regular for 9 years and have never had an issue with staff until today. I was there at about 11-11:15am on 2/27/26. I was waiting in line to pay for my dog’s food. There were two people behind the counter so I was waiting for one of them to let me know they’re ready to ring me up. I was waiting for quite a few minutes so I checked the time on my phone just to keep busy while waiting. I looked up a couple times and the guy behind the register was just standing there and so I nicely said “do I need to go to another register?” And with the snarkiest tone he says “no, I’m just waiting for you to get off your phone.” ??? I had my stuff set on the counter ready to check out and he wasn’t scanning it so I don’t know what he wanted me to do? I didn’t want to be rude so I waited for him to be ready. There was another staff member standing right next to him and he didn’t say anything either. I work customer service and you would think he would’ve said “are you all set?” And start ringing up the customer. After I paid he asked again, in a very snarky tone if I wanted a bag, I couldn’t hear him so I said “sorry what?” And he said “DO. YOU. WANT. A. BAG?” It

A complete pet store with all you need at great prices. They have some pets that you will rarely see at any other pet store. I like the staff that give you enough space to think on your own but are willing to help out if you need it. Good offers keep coming on regular stuffs every now and then. They provide pet grooming as well. Overall very good place for you to get your next pet.
