Pet Station South Meadows

My daughter and I came in to look for a hamster. The gentleman that helped us was absolutely amazing. Knew each hamster and their personalities, let us hold them and give them treats. He helped us with food and shared about how to care for them. He was so nice and helpful. You can really tell he cares about the animals. We previously went to PetSmart to look at hamsters and the worker was terrified to even pick one up and also wouldn’t let us hold them. Why would I get a hamster if I can’t hold it. It was crazy. I am so glad we went to pet station and had such a wonderful experience. Our hamster is the sweetest little thing, so so friendly. Sadly I can’t remember the man’s name that helped us but he has done an amazing job with this little hamster. We are so thankful to have this little hamster in our family . Highly recommend.

Murphy’s Law: you’ll realize you need dog food for the next morning shortly before the store that sells dog food closes. It was 7:01pm when I slid into the parking spot, directly in front of the Pet Station - South Meadows store. Pulling on the doors, I found them locked much to my dismay. But I guess the noise of me pulling on the lock doors got the attention of the two young men, Wyatt and Shawn, who are standing at the register, probably getting ready to close it out. I smiled at them. They smiled back, and then with my hands in a prayer position, I mouthed “please? “ Now I am not one to be entitled in my thinking, and had they chosen to not open the door on this particular day, I certainly would not have written a poor review. I would’ve probably shrugged my shoulders and come back in the morning when they opened at 10 AM. But on this particular day, Sean and Wyatt were working the closing shift, and they took pity on me and unlocked the door, and welcomed me in to quickly buy a bag of dog food. I grew up working at the front desk of my family’s business, so I understand the importance of good customer service and how going that extra mile, that’s what leads to wo

I was running late and called the store to make sure they were open. I had run out of dog food. The manager, Derik, was so nice. It was 6:55, and they were closing in 5 minutes. I told him I was close, and he asked what type of dog food I needed. Then he told me he would have it at the register, so I could run in and get it. I got there at 7:02, and he was there with a smile and my dog food ready to be purchased. Most places would have just told me it was too late. The fact that he was compassionate and took the time to help my dog and me is beyond amazing. This place is awesome. I was a regular customer, but now I won't get my Dr. Marty's anywhere else!

We have come here over the years mostly to use the dog wash stations but we have also purchased toys and treats for our dog. We went first thing this morning to wash our dog. We got in about 10 feet and. Decided to leave due to the smell. It’s a smell I have encountered the last few times I have gone in. It smells like dirty animal. I don’t think we will be back.

This store carries all the brands I love: VE, SC, open farm, primal and honest kitchen. Very high quality, grain-free and high-end dog/cat food. Definitely a hidden gem.
