About Pet Pause Boutique Bakery Spa
An unique Pet Boutique, Bakery and Spa!
Located at 3625 Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd #406, Charlotte, NC 28216, Pet Pause Boutique Bakery Spa operates as a pet groomer serving Charlotte in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.

PLEASE DON’T take your dog here. We’ve been looking for a good groomer and reviews looked good so I took my 2 shorkies here a few days ago. Let me start by saying there is zero bakery or treats to be purchased and not the cleanest but that’s beside the point. My boys were there for over 3 hours which is fine. When I picked them up they weren’t their usual happy selves. When I got them to the car, Ben’s fur under his eyes was soaked from crying.. I’ve never seen him cry. I pulled out their water bowl and they went crazy like they hadn’t drank in forever so I feel confident they weren’t given any water. By the end of the night Sox had small bumps on his belly and some open spots where it looked like hair was just ripped out. Yesterday we had a vet visit (which we’ve done multiple times with no issues) and Sox freaked out climbed me to get away when they went to touch him. They still aren’t their playful selves at home. Their cuts don’t look bad overall but their wellbeing means more to me than a haircut. I will never be taking my dogs back.

If I could give Pet Pause a zero I would. Took my dog to this groomer several times once they allowed my dog to lick the clippers and his tongue bleed for a few hours it was horrible. I stayed away from them for a while but went back against my better judgement, however since they now have new management the price is always different. The older lady at the desk will ALWAYS tell me one price over the phone and once I’m there actually paying the price goes up $10 to $20. I paid it. But today took the cake. I’m growing my labradoodle hair locs, his hair was long when he went in and super short when he came out. The groomer stated to me “ I always cut him like this. How would that be possible if his hair was long? I’m telling Jason/Justin I was very unhappy with the cut, he did apologize however that was not enough. Then he proceeded to raise his voice. I asked him why he was getting loud. Then he told his manager she better come speak to her. All that because I didn’t like the cut. I was told the cut would be $90 she attempted to charge me $100. I ended up paying $75. I will not be back. Customer service is everything to me.

I take my beagle here for bath and nail trim. He always smells great and loves the groomers Jase, Anna and Sam. Also price is very good. $45 for a 30 pound dog is excellent.

I’m taking my dog here for grooming. Past reviews are old. I discovered 3 amazing groomers who care for the animals. I’m told it’s under new ownership. Both groomers, Anna and Sam have done a great job on Spencer. Clean, neat and smelled great. Give them a try.
