In Buffalo, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in New York, and how long your pet will stay. Buffalo is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Buffalo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

If I could give them zero stars I would. No one EVER answers the phone so don’t have an emergency! They will call back at times. My cat’s health was declining rapidly. They ran bloodwork which was inconclusive. Provided me with no diagnosis but gave me fluids to administer on my own through an IV at home. Called back, they gave me medication for Anemia. When my cat is loosing weight, lethargic, and not eating. My cat died today. Don’t choose this vet!

Below is my 15 year old Pom/Dox rescue. He isn't a fan of any vet but he is well treated at Pet Degree. They don't push expensive treatments unless necessary.

I really really like this place. They are so much better than my last vet. My dog is kinda difficult to work with a gets testy and aggressive, and the staff here is so positive and very very good at keeping my dog calm and stress free. They are great dealing with him. The vets are really informative and love To give great valuable free advice on preventative care. They really listen to you about your dogs issues and come up with good solutions. When one of the meds they prescribed had a negative reaction and my dog went crazy I stopped the meds and called them immediately. I suggested a med with similar effects from my own research, and although they had never prescribed it before for a dog they listened to me and were willing to try it and it works great and my dog is happy and healthy now. I simply love how friendly and caring the staff is here. You can tell they really care about the animals and Dr. Josh is great. I’m so glad this place is right around the corner from me. Would absolutely recommend.

My Baby was tangled. They took time with him and we are starting over. The groomer was very polite and caring

Pet Degree was our vet for approximately 5 years and, while Dr Josh is great, the rest of the place is trash. I left a message on Saturday, March 1st asking if they had any openings that day for emergent Euthanasia for my 15 yr old dog. Not only did they not return a call (and yes, they were open til 3pm), but it is now Wednesday, 3/5/25, and I have STILL yet to receive a call back. Instead, my dog crashed overnight and had to be taken to OP vet Sunday morning, 3/2/25, unable to walk or move his head. My dog suffered because they couldn’t be bothered to return a phone call. Not only that, I had to pay $700 for using the emergency vet. And this is not the first time I have complained of this issue. The last time we were there in late summer, my dog was given 2 injections. When I came home, I noticed we were charged for 3. I left them two voicemails which were never returned. As great as Dr Josh is, the rest of the staff is terrible. Do better.
