About Penny's Pampered Pets

Located at 15179 Mellenger St, Gulfport, MS 39503, Penny's Pampered Pets operates as a pet groomer serving Gulfport in Mississippi. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as pet boarding service, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

In Gulfport, price depends on breed, size, coat condition and temperament: small short-coated dogs cost least, while doodles, poodles and double-coated breeds take longer and cost more, and matting adds a dematting fee. Ask whether the groomer is certified, how dogs are dried (cage dryers versus hand drying), whether rabies vaccination proof is required in Mississippi, and how long your pet will stay. Most dogs need a groom every four to eight weeks. Saturdays and the weeks before holidays book up first, so schedule ahead and check the listing for hours, phone number and Google rating.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Penny's Pampered Pets at (228) 263-1568; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 41 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Gulfport is in Mississippi, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Gulfport follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Sweet lady, but she won't let you inside the shop. She made me remove my dogs harness, saying she didn't want to be responsible for it. Hmmmm, but she's responsible for my dog. When I picked her up, she had several dogs loose inside I could see through the glass door. She let my girl out without on a leash ( thank goodness my girl stayed with me). She needed help to finish the underside of my girl. The last challenge was that my girls' paws were covered in murky yellow water. YUK! The 1st thing i did was wash her paws when i got home. Picture she sent me of her when she told me she was ready.

Penny's Pampered Pets is everything I could have asked for in a groomer! I have a 85/90lb lab and the only groomer I could find that would groom him left her location. After a bad experience getting my shih Tzu groomed at another place I found Barbara on google! She was happy to bathe and pamper my lab and is excited to meet and groom my shih Tzu in the following weeks! She was helpful over the holidays when she had no appointments and my lab had rolled in something awful in the woods. She walked us through how to clean him and not actually have to bathe him (he won't go in the bath for us) and it worked out well. Her prices are very fair and Barbara is very personable and a joy to visit with. We are looking forward to doing business with her in the future.

I have been taking my fury babies to Penny’s Pampered Pets for 9 years. Barbara Ranucci is the most loving, caring, and knowledgeable person regarding pets. Barbara provides excellent grooming, boarding, daycare services, topped with genuine love. She has the best recommendation for vets, trainers, etc. Barbara even takes in pets who needs rescued, as well and those who need shelter for extreme weather conditions. She has a true passion and love for animals. Definitely not just a job for her which is a rare find.

Checked here a few days ago, met Barbara, decided to leave my toy poodle here this weekend. Barbara did a great job grooming and boarding Ruby. Picked up a clean happy dog this afternoon. Will be using this facility for all Ruby's grooming and boarding needs.

My dog loved it here! The grooming was always done right, staff was always friendly and professional, and the pricing was on point. Can't say enough kind things about this place compared to other local groomers. :)
