Pet groomers bathe, brush, trim and style dogs and cats, and most also clip nails, clean ears and express anal glands. A full groom usually includes a bath, blow-dry, haircut and tidy-up; a bath-and-brush package skips the haircut and suits short-coated breeds. Salon groomers work from a shop with tubs and drying stations, mobile groomers bring a fitted van to your driveway, which is easier on anxious, elderly or reactive pets, and self-service dog washes rent a raised tub, shampoo and dryer by the session. Cat groomers handle lion cuts and matted coats with calmer, quieter setups, and many salons offer add-ons such as teeth brushing, de-shedding treatments, blueberry facials and paw balm.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–8 pm. Girard is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Girard follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Extremely Disappointed – Save Your Money and Peace of Mind I am incredibly dissatisfied with the boarding and grooming services here and will never bring my dog back. We left our dog overnight for boarding and paid extra for a full groom and de-shedding treatment. When we picked him up, we were shocked by the state he was in: Filthy and Neglected: While they clearly trimmed his paws, the rest of him was greasy and he literally had dried urine on three different parts of his body. Zero De-Shedding: He was shedding hair absolutely everywhere the second we got him in the car. It was incredibly obvious he was never even brushed. Concerning Behavior: Most worrying of all, our dog has been quiet and skittish ever since we brought him home, which is completely unlike him. It feels like he was left in a dirty kennel and ignored until they did a rushed, bare-minimum paw trim right before we picked him up. This was a terrible experience for both us and our dog. Save yourselves the stress—we will be sticking strictly to Rover for boarding from now on.

We have used Paws n Ckaws for years. They are the best with our fur babies. We are always comfortable leaving them when we go on vacation and for grooming. I recommend 1000%

My pug is crazy when I try to cut her nails myself, but Lizzy is the pug whisperer! She did a great job with my tornado of a dog! Great prices and great service!

I took my boy Samwise in for his 1st time for grooming. Brenda H. did an amazing job with him. He can be a bit of a nervous boy but she took her time and he looks the best he has ever been since I brought him home at 6 months old!

Our shih tzu spent nine days here after reading plenty of positive reviews and hearing good things from friends. When I arrived to pick him up the owner told me he had been pooping a lot during his stay. I just assumed it was a nervous tummy and no big deal. When they brought him out he looked a little wet and I assumed he had been out playing in water because it was 90 degrees. I scooped him up and went out to allow the next guest in (only one dog is permitted in the office at a time, which I actually like.) Once I got outside in the sun I realized he had dried poop caked all over him. It was around his eyes and ears and caked on his butt so thick that it needed to be cut out with scissors when I got him home. He’s a fluffy guy, and I understand he’s more likely to get messy. But this was SEVERAL DAYS of poop. Had anyone spent any time with him at all during the week, someone would have noticed. The forms I signed clearly stated that any animal that gets dirty will be bathed, kennels are cleaned regularly, and no pets go home dirty. This is obviously separate from the optional grooming services they offer. His eyes were horribly crusted with boogers, his paws crusted with poop, hi
