Such a professional and caring staff! I absolutely adore my Kitty "Riley" and and proud to say she already feels at home within a little shy of a month.. I've actually spoiled her rotten. 🤣🥰😻. Thank you Paws & Whiskers for giving me this opportunity. ❤️

Have been a long time supporter of this shelter and have done frequent visits to see the cats. I was extremely disappointed today. Found the perfect cat for our family and contacted the shelter. We have been looking for the right kitten for months now. I have filled out an application a few months ago where I was told I was approved and ready to adopt when I’m ready. After coming in today I was told they only had an application from 2021 meaning they never kept record of my approved application. I had no problem filling out another application; however, they denied the application since our current cat hadn’t got his current vaccines yet. Although we have consistently cared for our current cat and kept him up to date, they refused to even allow us to put a hold on the kitten until our cat gets vaccinated which will be in less than 24 hrs. Ofcourse the kitten was then adopted hours later. Very disappointed with this shelter and won’t be back.

My daughters adopted 2 kittens and we had such a great time being able to go meet all the cats and find the ones that "spoke" to them. The staff was amazing and kind and the cat rooms are clean and the cats have plenty of room to roam or hide if they want.

Great place. Came here with my family and caseworker to visit the cats and kittens. The people are kind and super friendly, which is hard to find in some shelters. I love helping the cats get use to human and physical contact. 100% recommend to visit. I will always come back. They also have a pet pantry on the first Tuesday of every month (if I remember correctly). I love that it is the only no kill shelter in Toledo, which I find wonderful because I love animals, especially cats

10/2023 addendum: well I’m going to keep my previous review active with an unfortunate update. A lot of changes occurred this summer at Paws and they’ve been very unfortunate. I can no longer support them as a foster or donor. I will never tell anyone to NOT adopt from them because these cats need help regardless of their circumstances. But Paws is not what it once was and the board needs to know they’ve made major mistakes, and they’re feeling it both in their outcomes and in their pocketbooks. Very, very sad. I’ve been volunteering with Paws for a little over a year and I’m so glad I started. The staff really cares about the cats and they provide excellent care. The staff know the names and stories of all the cats by heart. Cages are only utilized when necessary. Most cats are free-roaming in home-like rooms or in the lobby. It’s really uplifting to spend time there and socialize with the cats and kittens. I’ve also met some great friends that volunteer there as well. I definitely recommend supporting Paws because they do great things for this community. Included are some pics from the past year that I’ve taken of some of the happy kitties!
